2015-2016 San Antonio Spurs Thread: Tim Duncan Retires After 19 Seasons

Danny really did have himself a year man. He deserves every penny hes going to get from us.
How much do you think the Spurs should offer him after this season?

Do you think Kawhi is going to get a max offer from the Spurs?
4 years 28 million seems about right. Gotta give him more than what he'd get on the open market, I feel hes definitely good for 6 million per year on the open market and I dont want him gone and the org doesnt either.

Kawhi is getting the max its just a matter of how he gets it. I've never liked the idea of him taking a one year and waiting for the cap jump in 2016, he should take it all next year. Let us sign Duncan and Manu if they come back, and whatever else we can get in F/A then go over the cap to max him out. I dont think the Spurs would have any issue doing that, he's 100 worth it. Kawhi leaves and we're set back at least five years.

Danny will be getting at least $8M per. Maybe even more?
I totally feel like it can go that high, idk if it will be from the Spurs though. If it came down to it, and thats the money it would take to keep him I want them to pay it.

28/4 years seems like the sweet spot for me. Its the money that he deserves but its not break the bank money.

Spurs Clips and Mavs Rockets are the two best.

We're taking at least one game in LAC

Finally. We're here. Game 1 of the 2015 NBA playoffs.

I think  we can all agree that this was the worst game of the season from us. All bad all around.

I have not watched all the games but yes this was a very bad game, I dont feel discouraged because the Spurs were getting to the spots they just weren't making the shots

36% man good lord. Pop isnt worried at all, and neither am I. Its an anomaly to shoot that poorly.

That felt like a needed to me, all I can say about it. The Spurs really didnt lose the game as badly as they should have with how they played, but it was bad enough to where they know that they gotta correct some things.

Reminder to Spurs fans never say anything negative towards that team or you'll get that ban :smh:

Reminder to the shortsighted: THERE IS A LAKER HATER THREAD.

So yeah, "Say anything negative about the Lakers and you'll get banned" loses traction when there is AN ENTIRE THREAD against 'that team'.

There are so many Laker haters on here, some of which have been here since the beginning and have never even been warned, much less banned multiple times.

Don't fall for the garbage he's feeding you, man.

Or fall for it and be miserable as you embark on a freedom conquest for an online buddy.

Spurs thread, though.

You're right!

This is a Spurs thread.

Obviously 'that team' is not the Spurs, so why discuss them?

Actually, why discuss someone being banned? Like you said, this ain't the Lakers thread, but it's also not the banned member discussion thread, and it's not the 'that team' thread (WHATEVER team that is   ).

Excellent point, and I'm glad you agree that it should remain about... the Spurs.

Let's make that happen, just like the reply below this.

IDK what was up with Tiago Splitter tonight. Dude usually doesnt let shot blockers bother him at all being that his paint offense is predicated on going up and under the basket, he's never been a straight at the defender guy, but yet he tried it tonight, several times. Baynes too but thats what he does.

Then theres the issue of Danny Green who really just came into this game too full of himself. He wasnt trying to get into the offense at all, and as much as he's improved at it, he put the ball on the ground and tried to shoot the floater a few times too many.

Overall there just wasnt enough passing, outside of what Diaw was doing. He was always making the extra pass, he had himself a good game in my opinion.

Oh and the defense on Blake Griffin, but like I've been saying for years we need another big. Baynes has been good to us, but he looked lost out here tonight, I still want a real defensive anchor that can pick up the slack when Duncan is tied up doing other things.

Patty Mills proved to me that he can be that 2nd guy off the bench for this series, we need the shooting more than we need anything else right now, especially if Green continues to slump.
