New HBO series "Ballers" starring The Rock

This episode was so predictable man.

Soon as Vernon said he was gonna stay I knew **** was gonna go downhill

If this show is accurate, the level they're on is ridiculous. Fine yambs everywhere, people trying to use you, etc.
 
Wanted to go into it with no real expectations other than a mindless watch for 30min after a complex TD, but I don't see this getting picked up long term.

Episode was much better tonight. Show is still missing something.

All the characters are meh.

Joe is especially awful.
 
I'm with everyone else Joe is just awful. Reggie is :smh: I just can't stand people like that I have family like that, but I wont even touch them with a ten foot pole. Show is still kinda slow and everything seems so predictable it's missing that it factor. The show needs a Johnny Drama/Ari Gold type of character to really get the ball rolling we need someone to love/hate that's a good actor and this show doesn't have anyone like that.
 
So far this show sucks.  Not sure if its supposed to be like a Entourage type feel but its just not working.  Characters are horrible so far.  I'll give it two more episodes and if still sucks im out.

I agree. i just finished watching the third episode and this show blows. The acting, writing everything about this show sucks. Im out, i saw all i needed to see.

thats the thing tho, its not that enterianing. I usually sit through a dumb movie if its at least entertaning which this show is not. i keep pausing my dvr to see how much time is left for the episode to end

My wife and I are HBO fanatics.  And when she literally walked away I knew she wasnt into it.  She doesnt mind the nudity or "bro" type stuff its just like you said its not entertaining. 
 
The show is bland so far and the episodes are too short. They literally spent the entire episode at that party just so we could see how vindictive Reggie is. That could have been covered in 5 min max.

This show doesnt have an Ari....imagine Entourage without Ari.

Reggie, but I cant knock his hustle from his POV

Ballers is feeling like Entourage after season 3, not sure how long they can sustain that

Not a fan of the rock as the lead in this.. They have likable characters..

Big fan of rob corddry.. But they just don't have 'it' going so far
 
Watched again..the rock in this role just isn't believable man. He's arguably the biggest action movie star on the planet right now.

But yeah Reggie def gonna use those pics of Vernon doing coke/smoking for blackmail smh
