Cottonwood has definitely grown since i lived there way back in '94. Surprised they had that many cops.
Its not surprising there were no blacks/minorities in that video as me and my family were the ONLY (half black) people there.

I like that there was a lot of restraint shown by those cops cause i would have shot S!!! up much quicker. But them cops need some training as that situation was not controlled at all.
Like duke said, if that was the Johnson fam, there would havve been way more bodies left out there.

Why do people focus on the color, rather than the situation? White cop kills colored person, instantly labeled racism. I feel as though those people are being racist themselves. There are white cops who killed another white man but it's not blown up like when a white cop kills a colored.

No training whatsoever.
Not that hard to double leg a suspect and then along with another officer handcuff the guy.
It really isn't.
Its like the cops rather stand there and nightstick and taser a guy instead of actually defuse the situation.
All that **** ever do in these situations is escalate ****, to where you got folks fighting for their lives, at which point of course they'll reach for your gun.
First thing they should have done is take down the main aggressors. Buddy wanted batting practice instead.

Im sorry man but did you watch the video? The cops fought them, tased them and as a LAST resort used deadly force. Thats the way it should be with EVERYONE. It's not about a white cop killing a white man. It's about how they handled the situation. The cops did what they had to do to take control of the situation. They did nothing wrong here...

on paper, that sequence of restraint sounds reasonable, however I don't know if its that simple.
looked like the cops were teeing off on kids and errybody.
should have tazed the aggressors, no need to catch multiple fades and fair ones.
In my opinion, the cops did everything wrong.
the ONLY thing they did right I guess, was not letting the burner go immediately, as they would have had that family not been caucasian.
