If you got the truck back then what is the problem? You didn't lose any money. I assume you still have a residence as that was a project house.

So it seems like now the question is how much does op owe on this free house? I'd be more worried about keeping the house than loosing it, especially if you got the truck back. Not sure how you'll be able to get out of any liens if you are the listed owner.

How did you not do your research? I doubt he has anyone working for him to get the paperwork done but if you really think he has someone in a system office helping him scam that is the first place I would be going. Find out who processed the paperwork.
