I tried to find a food truck called OMG BBQ last night in the heights but it wasn't there. Rave reviews on Yelp. Will try Gatlins next time.

If anyone is close to rice village don't forget yoyo dogs, and omgogi (korean-mexican). And don't forget to order some food from chef coyo.

Going to Houston next week. Can you guys give me recommendations?

Food
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
Kenny and Ziggys
PAPPAS BROS. STEAKHOUSE
Frenchys

Shopping
Galleria
Premium Goods

I'm also hitting up an Astors game.

Whats a good bar to watch NFL games at?

Nightlife for 30 year old's?

Food:
Hit up Breakfast Klub if you're able to. One of the "things to do in Houston". Line is typically very long on the weekends. Don't know how it is on weekends.
Triple J's BBQ on the north side.
Cafe 5015 for brunch
Reggae Hut
Cyclone Anaya's has good food and margaritas (brunch as well)
Also try out whataburger for fast food.

Shopping:
Check out CityCentre, and the River Oaks area as well

Night life:
Not sure what crowd you're into, but this is from a Black male.
For lounges, try out Cafe 4212, Mosaic Lounge and Grooves. Not sure what they do on given nights. There's a bunch of cool spots on Almaeda in addition to them.
For Happy Hour or just something more casual, try out Alley Kat on Thursday nights and The Flat.
If that's not your crowd you can find a bar in midtown (3rd Floor) and downtown.

Watch games:
You can watch the game practically anywhere. Washington Ave has some spots (I go to Sports Junkie). Also Rice Village has a lot of patio bars that play the game (Little Woodrow's, 55 Bar and a pub next door to that)

Watch NFL at chulas or ojos locos

Galleria and premium is good, hit up greenspoint mall if your strapped.

Tripple J's bbq is good, long *** line and no seating, id go to burns original bbq in acres home. Its better.

Will a Latino male flourish at these places? :nerd:

Repped for all the advice!

What kind of latino are you? Trust me it matters. Like chuntarro or hood meskin type? Lots of blacks and mexicans kick it together here....It really depends what kind of environment your used to.

Willie G's better than Papadeaux's imo. Downtown kinda dry but midtown and the heights are straight. Galleria is good for shopping just stay on that side of westheimer. If you have time check out the premium outlet mall off of 290. Chulas if you want something chill, but Gloria's got way better women

Edit: Brazilian festival next Saturday. I dunno one Brazilian in Houston but the Colombian festival was lit so...

I'm staying by Rice Village.

NT meetup?

:nerd:

Buncha white people in rice and hatin *** cops.

I dont kick it that way tho but there are some dope lil restraunts, and you arent really far from anything your kinda in the middle.

If your 'latino' and your wife is blavk, you can go anywhere then. Very diverse here.

I haven't had any issues with Rice. I love that area. I don't go out to midtown much unless there's an event going on. My go to is City Centre

I'm looking forward to visiting Houston! If anyone is down to meet up, the first round is on me.

I'm also looking forward to the diversity :smokin .
