Am I the only person that think the fear of illegal imigration is absurd?

I didn't know about basic voting rights?

Okay brah. Lets just say **** it and have no borders. Everyone can come in. No countries. Have at it. It'll end well. A perfect utopia.
Everyone against illegal immigration is racist. I've met more illegal Europeans than mexicans, but whatever you say.

Open the borders and nothing will change. It's not hard to get in if you have bread. 16k will get you up from Ecuador. People act like we're the only country people sneak into.
 
Plus I don't get why people have it in their head that what liberals/Latinos/democrats are calling for is open borders and make everyone instantly legal.

No idea. They probably think it's going to instantly turn us to Mexico or something. People just see Latinos all as Mexican and all as illegal. People don't get that you can't stop people from coming in and you damn sure aren't stopping the cartel. People are gonna do what they want to do. The cartel is in China too and everywhere else the U.S. Acts like we're the only ones the cartel brings drugs to. They bring drugs all over the world because they make money. It's nothing personal like they make it seem
 
It's a ridiculous fear. You'd have to be an idiot to think they are coming after your jobs. There is a huge discrepancy between the jobs they take and the jobs most americans will take. Not to mention if you lose your job to someone who barely speaks english you didnt deserve that job.
 
Meh I'll take a non English speaking illegal cook all day over a culinary school graduate. That's just for my field though. But I'm sure landscapers and everyone feels similar. Hard working Latino or a dumb white guy. Not s tough decision.

theres two sides, the theoretical aspect and the attachment of low end labor type jobs. the mindset that theyll do anything for money can lead to a very different path. if you are in poverty, are u gonna rob someone else thats poor?


border controls are as important as airspace, sea regions, etc. they should be monitored n enforced.

america is supposed to be the land of opportunity, buy most dont see that,

As for the other offenses, that's no different than releasing US criminals after they've done their time.

Not all illegals are doing unskilled labor. I've worked under a James beard winning chef who had an illegal dude running his kitchen. Also how many of you know how to hang drywall, pour sidewalks etc? It isn't just unskilled labor. Our whole country relies on it really, whether you know it or not they do a lot.
 
Im not saying its unskilled labor, im saying there is a lack of born and raised americans willing to do that type of work. The fact that they work so hard at it is a testament to the fact that if you lost your job to them you didnt deserve it. I have much respect for all the illegal immigrants doing that type of labor, since nobody else will.

I worked in Yuma Arizona for 2 1/2 months, i did not see one non hispanic worker in those fields during those 120 degree days, not one. so kill all that job loss talk

I have seen less than 40 non hispanic workers on fields and lawns in my 17 years in chicago.

White dish washers stay long enough to get a check and once they get their first check they don't come back. Miss me with the "generalizations" I got 12 or so years in restaurants. I need people I can count on showing up to work. Not getting a check and going off on a heroin bender.

Just an example of the crap you have to deal with. If a white dude is still bottom of the totem pole in any manual labor job there is an issue. They can't move up because of their citizenship. Citizens don't have that problem unless they are garbage.
