Y'all need to re-LAX. LMA would've been nice but he was always a long shot. The whole reason he wanted to leave Portland was because he wanted to win now and he was bitter Damian Lillard stole all the spotlight there.

Well guess what? Lakers kind of just drafted our next point guard who no doubt is gonna get ALL the shine. Plus we still have that dude Kobe in the fold. Thought LMA was really going to go through Damian Lillard experience all over again? Not to mention most likely not making the playoffs this year, PLUS playing center which he has publicly made clear that he hates.

For all we know, LMA played Lakers for a fool just to pressure Spurs into making the necessary moves to get him. It worked, and I can't knock the hustle. Now instead of him admitting he was using Lakers as a ploy this whole time and looking like the bad guy, how convenient is it for his camp to leak that he was "unimpressed" by the presentation? All things considered, he never wanted to come here in the first place.

Yes the perception is bad that we missed on a recruit again, but the last two years we are LUCKY we missed. I don't want ANYTHING to do with Dwight or Melo. Let me know when we have missed on a recruit that's really vital in our plans.

For all of you doubting our front office now all of a sudden when everyone was singing their praises draft night- NOTHING HAS CHANGED! We still have the best prospect IMO regardless of free agents available in D'Lo. We still got Randle, Clarkson, and a low risk high award defensive ace in Upshaw.

Also, those of you rocking with D'Lo and now crying why we ain't stick with Oak, have you guys even seen his attitude with the Sixers? This dude pouts and displays terrible body language when things don't go his way. I don't know about you but Im done dealing with entitled drama queens and he hasn't even proven anything in the league.

Relax. See how it all plays out. Lake Show just getting started.

This is why I advocate signing some good players & building up the talent base for a run at bigger names later. Need that infrastructure.

If I'm the Lakers, Tobias Harris and Robin Lopez would be a solid Plan B with cap space available in 2016.

There is no quick fix for a team that won 21 games last season. Draft well, spend smartly, build a winner. THEN use market advantage.

I have high hopes for Russell & Randle. Also really like Clarkson. Add some quality FA's to them. Start to build a winning culture. Then go.

These guys get it.

I'd love to have LMA say yes, or DeAndre say yes, or add Tobias, but all for different reasons. LMA is the "star" that says yes. DeAndre the natural fit next to Randle, that's only 26. Tobias is the 22 year old we add to our young guys.

But I also advocated for US to take Splitter/Danny Green off the Spurs hands, so they could have LMA. Because I want the team to improve the whole roster, not just one player.

P mentioned multiple times, LMA alone, takes almost all our space. We still have holes, even with him, and could possibly miss the playoffs anyway.

We aren't building for one single year folks. Build long(er) term. Absolutely make a run at Durant next year, he's a top 3 player in the entire NBA. Is LaMarcus? :nerd: No. He's just a top player THIS year in free agency, not league wide.

We threw all that money at Melo, what the hell would that have done for us? 10th seed for the next 4 years? Great.

We're already better than last year. Russell/Randle will help, Clarkson should be better, Kobe hopefully is a smidge healthier, the other rookies are better than Boozer/Lin/Ronnie Price garbage.

Add talent. Whoever, however. Trades, or someone saying yes. There are plenty of players still out there, just keep adding to the core, and let their games develop next year, help us show promise going foward. Then people will "take our money"

Gonna piss me off if LMA signs with us, and you all spin back the other direction.

WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG!!!!!!

I'll hunt you dudes down and whip you with my cane. Settle the hell down and be patient.

There's no guarantee we get the plan B guys either. We're not the only suitors. That's the issue

Other suitors are spending money, our cap space eventually wins out in the long run.

It's not a failure if the Lakers are able to sign good players and establish their foundation this off-season.

RoLo + Tobias would be enough to make me happy.

I don't think I've seen much of us talking to Tobias tho, that worries me.

Monroe still in play too. :nerd:

So it's RoLo or bust. He'll probably be a Celtic/Knicks before the night is over.

Nobody wants Greg freaking Monroe man. Especially at a max.
