Only Laker Fans could think we can land major free agents who are trying to be in winning situations while were coming off two straight years of the lottery with an aging star on the verge of retirement [emoji]128517[/emoji][emoji]128517[/emoji].

Just because our front office Think Randle, Clarkson and Russell have potential doesn't mean free agents do, those guys gotta prove their selves out there on the court and it remains to be seen....as of now..

Completely agree. But to your point that's why even if we don't grab the "superstar" or "top" free agent this offseason it doesn't mean that bringing in some talented youth won't lure said top or superstar FA's to realize that they might be that missing piece(s). Because as promising as some of our young talent is (2 who haven't played a game), it's hard to convince a big time prospect to be patient enough to realize it. I'm sure most, if not all, want to win NOW and don't see that they could be apart of a great thing for years (not saying titles every year, but in the hunt)

I've been saying this since last summer. The timing is very bad for us now, all the cap space in the world but no proven personnel additionally to complement. Hopefully they do get some o of the tier 2 guys (Harris/RoLo) to add to mix but even then Randle, Russell and Clarkson have to ball out immediately. Potential on works for guys who area up and coming in the same bracket.

You aren't luring KD next summer or maybe even Westbrook the next of you don't have the personnel to prove that it'd be adventagous for them to leave their current situations or seek out others with players who are proven.

That's the conundrum the Lakers find themselves in.

No it's hard for everyone to accept cuz we've never b me in this position before.

It's safe to say let's be patient and spend smartly and develop our guys.

Like I said earlier I would skip all our other meetings and call up Tobias and Max him out and then go get Rolo and call it a summer.

No reason wasting our time for the next several days and miss out on any viable free agents options.

you sure about that? he told aldridge he could be the new Pau... that doesnt sound like a guy willing to relinquish being the main man any time soon
