Me neither, TB is legit and if he has a solid year why not keep him?

I see him as a Dale Davis type

You may not have a choice in the offseason.. If he nets you another asset.. Then you part with him.

Just think that he and Clarkson could combine for $25mil in RFA if teams get bold.

Or you just wait, and see if any team offers a deal to Tarik.

But say we don't get the guys we want in FA. Committing so much to Tarik would be a bad idea.

agree with that lakers article. LA never fit in here but lakers fans just want a name. same dudes that wanted carmelo.

glad we missed out on LA. he had no business being here and we had no business even trying to acquire him.

I see the reasoning in trading Black, but I wouldn't do it. You can always sign & trade next offseason. Maybe for a smaller package, but still. I'd rather see him get PT here.
Nick Young is the guy I can't wait to see leave. Never liked him before he was a Laker, while he was a Laker, and I won't miss him in the slightest when he's gone. I'll help pack his bags, drive him to the airport, whatever.

I mean it depends what he'd net you.

If he nets a 1st. Or somebody just drafted like Justin Anderson... Goodbye Tarik.

But if not, then you hold onto him. And see what you have in February. If no good trade options.. Then he has to get S&T in July.

No I'd rather keep him and move everyone else. Black can serve a purpose. Besides you don't no how the rest of these players are gonna turn out.
Might as well keep him this year and see what the summer holds. We could always S&T him if thats the case. I mean we all said the same about Ed Davis and look at the contract he got. Pennies.
And with him being restricted the ball is def in our court with his contract.

We may not even be out from under the injury curse yet. Id take things sloe and just see what happens at this point. Sign gerald green doh

Los Angeles Lakers: This team will not battle its way into the playoff race, and it flat-out embarrassed itself in blowing a meeting with Aldridge before scheduling a face-saver two days later. They should have tried harder to retain Ed Davis, though every team that spends time with Davis grumbles about his low motor, nonexistent range, and terrible foul shooting.

Brandon Bass is a workable Davis replacement, and the Lakers got Lou Williams at a below-market deal that will age well (and function as a trade asset). Reviving Roy Hibbert is a fine way to use leftover cap space, and he’ll provide resistance at the rim for an otherwise overmatched group who barely bothered to try on defense last season.

The Lakers are waiting out Bryant’s extension. Laugh at their tarnished brand if you want, but these guys still get meetings with everyone. Aldridge had serious interest in them when free agency started, per several sources, and the Lakers will eventually learn from three straight summers of unrequited free-agency love. In the meantime, swallow another awful season, develop all the fun young guys, and give yourselves at least a chance of being bad enough to keep the top-three protected pick you owe Philadelphia.

Really interested to see what KG is getting in this final contract.

I have no doubt in my mind Kobe isn't going to retire, if he can take a 2 year Vet Minimum, and still be out there for his timely scoring i'd take it.

If he wants a full on contract, I don't know how Lakers management is going to handle it.

I wanna know who's traded so I can go through a depth chart and play 2k.

damn moratorium

Gonna be "two" teams Scott can use.

Vets
Hibbert, Bass, Young, Kobe, PG (Clarkson if no vet added)

Kids
Upshaw, Randle, Nance, Brown, Russell

Could see the vet lineup late in games, on the road, etc. (Their attempt at competing in Kobe's last run)

The "fun" one tho
Hibbert, Randle, Kobe, Clarkson, Russell.

Wonder how much we'll get to see this group.

A lot of things can change, but as of now, this team is looking at 25-28 wins this upcoming season.

But this season shouldn't really be judged on wins-losses as much as development.
