2 guys at best who will command that money together under 24 years old and still have potential is more valuable than a 7 foot oaf who is what he is. If we're going to splurge go after Whiteside since we're not getting KD anyway.

Tarik Black is Jordan Hill without dreadlocks. That's not saying he's a bad player. But it is to say he's never going to be a quality starting Center.

So when he gets $10mil from somebody to only rebound and put back shots, and nothing else.... I'd take the guy at $14mil who is one of the best rim protectors in the league for a couple extra million.

Tarik is a better rebounder, and more explosive off the pick n roll.

Hill is a chucker from mid range.
 
How do you know? Dude is 23 and played 3 years in the league. Jordan has been in the league for 8 and came quite a ways from year 3-8.

He's not getting 10 mil from anybody. Stop it. Just like Boss.

Go look at the 2nd half of Hill's rookie year with Houston, compared to Black's 2nd half with Lakers

Hill: 16min 6.4 / 5.0 .530 / .000 / .66
Black: 21.1min 7.2 / 6.3 .589 / .000 / .562

Trust me I'm not betting on it. But one thing that helped that Suns team was great guard play. One month into the season we'll know where this team is going.

Ed Davis got $6.4mil first season.. Cap at $67mil.

You mean to tell me that if he puts up another 6&5 season, when the cap is $89mil.. He's not going to get an offer near $10mil.



And also let's not forget Black is still a horrid FT shooter.


So no. He's not better than Hibbert. Nor will he ever be better than Hibbert

Got the lotto numbers too fam? Didn't know guys got fully developed at 23 in their 1st seasons. He hustles better, grabs boards at an equivalent rate given his minutes and role. You want an elite rim protector, go after Whiteside, don't give the bumbling oaf 14 mil over multiple years when his motor is already in question.

Whiteside has just as many "issues" as Roy 
 
How about Roy be a last resort option like he was this year instead of a priority, who even knows what his market will be.
 
Not better than Hibbert no. But I'd def have him over Hill and Sacre.
Might as well keep the younger more athletic and hungrier version of Hill.
