Yea but at least it's exciting rumors now. At least it puts a nice exciting buzz in here compared to the last 2 years.
I don't mind the different scenarios and different rumors in this case. I kno 99% of it is bs and smokescreens anyway.

And I wouldn't just look down on Okafor like he is that much worse than KAT. He is prob the most offensively skilled and polished big man coming out of college since Tim Duncan. If he can get his conditioning right. Hopefully that will translate to better movement for rebounds and on the defense.
And if he can get into the high 60% free throw than he will be an automatic every year all star

It's crazy how up and down a season this was.

I initially thought we were way to good, to keep our pick.

Half way through the season, we were beat up and injured that it became a high possibility we'd keep our pick.

Soon enough we were greedy, we wanted the first pick.

We won a few games then we questioned if we were gonna get the pick at all.

Draft comes, and I can't even bare to watch the lottery, basically listened to it on the radio, so any shade of yellow wouldn't terrify me.

We dodge a bullet, and make it to the top five, I feel relieved.

NYK get the 4th pick and my heart starts racing top 3, not bad at all!

Philly gets 3rd, and now my eye is on that 1st pick prize.

We get second, and out of no where I feel super disappointed, tried to rationale it by saying, meh we could have lost the pick, but sadly that's not how human nature works, I really wanted that first pick.

Don't get me wrong, second pick is gonna be great, but damn we were that close!!!

Anyways, what an emotional roller-coaster last few seasons it has been. Thank god the tank is over and I don't have to argue with people about wins and losses.

Most importantly Go Lakers!

Lakers need some athleticism, I know they already have Swaggy on deck, but whatcha guys think of Gerald Green? He's unrestricted

Sporting news is saying executives think Carroll is now being pushed close to, if not a max deal because he'll have multiple suitors.. No thank you to that.

“There’s a long list of teams already prepared to pursue Carroll this summer, including the Cetlics, Lakers and Pistons. He boosted his scoring average from 12.6 points to 16.2 before the injury, and was shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 41.6 percent from the 3-point line. The Hawks want to keep Carroll, but his price has been driven up. With his defense and versatility, one league exec estimated his next deal at more than $15 million per year. The Lakers, a source said, have big-time interest in Carroll.”

Good player, and was big for Hawks this year, but nope.

Go with Karl Anthony Towns or Jahlil Okafor at # 2. If we get Towns, I still pursue Gasol or Jordan. Since Towns can play the 4 & 5, we could have Randle, Towns & Gasol getting pretty much all minutes at the 4 & 5, and just punishing teams down low. If Okafor, that option isn't there for us because Okafor is a Center only, it wouldn't work. But I think it's unlikely anyways.

Then trade up to 20 with the Raptors using pick 27 & 34. Willing to include Sacre, Brown. Would be willing to accept Jordan Hill's Team Option to include him in the trade (Raptors may want him considering Amir Johnson will likely go for above $10mil a year). Maybe Kelly, If need be. Have to take a wing player. At 20 I'd take Justin Anderson - Virginia, he has the highest ceiling out of guys at that spot (Hollis-Jefferson, Hunter, Vaughn & Martin). Anderson was also screwed by Virginia's painfully slow pace, so his per game stats are not great, but he did post a really good PER in comparison to those guys. Jerian Grant is currently 21st to Dallas, I liked his game during the Tourny, not sure we should pick a PG, but he is a fun player to watch.

Going into Free Agency:

Starting 5:
Clarkson
Kobe
---
Randle
Okafor or Towns

Bench:
----
Swaggy P
Anderson
Kelly
Black

11th & 12th men
Brown
Sacre

10 guys $23.040 mil in cap space.

Chase all of the restricted Free Agents (Butler, Kawhi, Draymond, Tobias, Middleton). Come back with one of them, all fit, all in places we could use. 25% max = $16.775mil. First 3 will get a max, maybe we could get Tobias or Middleton for $15mil. But worst case, they are all maxed. Tobias is most attainable, with Magic at #5, and the 2 Cs & PGs as the likely choices 1-4, it leaves WCS & Winslow. Unless they want to part with Vucevic, and they shouldn't, they have to go Winslow. That makes it iffy that they match $15mil and up for Winslow.

Leaves us with $6.265 left in cap space. We still have a needs in 3 places on the bench backup PG, a 3 & D guy, and a big. And that's where the fun comes in to try and make money work.
Have guys like Rondo & Beverley at the PG spot. I guess Jeremy Lin again :x
Have guys like Danny Green, Iman Shumpert, Al Faroq-Aminu. Maybe Wes Matthews, if you're willing to take a complete lose on that first year of contract.
Then at the bigs spot you have Ed Davis & Jordan Hill.

Also for the $1.7mil Room Exception you have Wayne Ellington maybe, and although I have no idea what their market will be draft flameouts; Thomas Robinson III & Derrick Williams.

To get one of the role players we need, we could trade Ryan Kelly for a 2nd round pick, and have $7.5mil. I like Kelly and think he could be a good piece for us, but if he stands in the way of a better role player, have to let him go. Also could cut Jabari Brown (likely of the 2) and open up another $300K, or Sacre for $440K. You can replace Brown & Sacre fairly easily. Well most of Sacre, you'll never replace his celebrations.

Probably not a playoff team, but most certainly high 30s wins to .500 team if they over-achieve. Then go into 2016 with a team looking for a ring.

No thanks to demarre, I know we need a 3, but Tobias is way better and it's doubtful Orlando will pay up more than 10 per

wouldn't mind if we ended up with tobias harris and danny green. like them both as players but not sure how our rotations and lineups would look. still would need a backup PG and C
