Wade may hate the Lakers but money talks, I'm sure it's just am extravagant troll job by him (see his pops in the Cavs t-shirt). I just don't see the interest from our side but who knows.
I agree. I can't see it happening neither.

All these wade rumors is just lakers mgmt putting it out there so that Riles has to fork out a few more mill to keep his south beach legend. It's gamesmanship after Riles got Dragic at the deadline when we were trying hard to land him. No way they let Wade go, there will be an uproar.

Affalo musta bumped his damn head.

But I've always liked him, if he comes cheap, I'd like that signing. If he wants big money, easy pass.

It's funny how people say the nba is moving away from post play but criticize oak for his post defense. If nobody posts up anymore, post defense really isn't that important . He's actually pretty good with help defense and rotations. But beyond the numbers there are benefits to post play. For one it is exhausting trying to guard a banger in the paint. If oak can wear down guys like deandre and gobert it just opens up opportunities for other guys to get good looks at the rim. Also when one guy posts up the defense still has to work on helping and recovering while on offense guys can chill and catch their breath while the big goes to work and everyone just works off of him. Reasons like these are why post play will never die and oak will be highly effective.

To e's point about the fit with randle/okafor, I actually think randle has that midrange jimmer and will only unleash more of his arsenal. He'sgot a pull up jumper that he hasn't shown off yet. Most people don't really look at oak as someone that will take you off the dribble but he's very impressive getting to the rim even if he catches the ball a good 12 feet away and sometimes even further. So if you have them on the perimeter on the same side you can't really play off either because randle will hit the jimmer and oak will work you all the way down to the post. So in that sense okafor is effective from midrange which is rare for a center, most 5s are pretty much useless if they catch it that far out. Watching a ton of oak highlights and his footwork is very kobe-esque, kobe's really gonna like this kid.

Clarkson/randle/okafor is going to be a serious problem once they get chemistry. The three of them compliment each other very well

It's two blocks on each end of the floor. Julius will be fine alongside Okafor.

All we need is a 2 and 3 that can knock down shots off the ball.
Only 3 people voted for Oatmeal Raisin?? Ya'll trippin.
Biting into an oatmeal raisin that I thought was an oatmeal chocolate chip is one of the main reasons I have trust issues.
Who was more dominating during their freshman year of college ball Randle or Okafor?
Randle. No question.

Catching up with the thread, seeing this talk of signing Wade, picking Russell at the 2 if KAT goes #1.

I just... I have to... I can't even. :\

I'm so lost bro, I have no clue what jimmy and mitch are thinking. Besides the fact Wade is on the wrong end of 30...uhmm..idk if they are aware...but him and kobe...yep...same position. I'm so lost. Maybe they're thinking of making kobe play some sf? But he'd get eaten alive these days. Maybe Kobe is gonna be point guard? But he'd get eaten alive these days. Maybe Kobe is playing to apply for that coaching job in cleveland? But he'd get ea...nvm.

Not Mitch and Jim. They have nothin to do with it.

It's the market.

EVERY free agent is connected to us. All of them.

LMA. Love. Gasol. Jimmy Butler. Wade. Dragic. Rondo. Hibbert. DeAndre. Middelton. Carroll. Danny Green. Tobias.

We've been "linked" to every one of them. Why?

Money.

Agents use the LA market, the Laker brand, and our cap space to drive up interest for their players. Use us, to get more money from other teams.

We might get ONE of those players I listed, after being "interested" in every one of them.

Relax on Wade folks. He's just tryin to up his money, nothin more.

Whoever thought it was right to put a raisin in a cookie is an immoral savage. With that said, Oatmeal cookies >>> ... Biting into that crunchy corner with the soft interior

raisins are a million times better than chocolate chips

chocolate in general is overrated

and we pour the milk in our bag of cookies and eat it like bagged cereal
chocolate in general is overrate
Block me.

Please and thanks.

My interest in players from 18-27 based on Draft Express Mock, and what teams could pick them. I excluded Montrezl Harrell & Christian Wood because they do not fit at all.

1. Jerian Grant PG – Notre Dame(would need to get past Rockets – 18, Wizards – 19, Mavericks – 21, Bulls - 22
2. Justin Anderson- SF - UVA – Would need to get past Bulls – 22, Cavs – 24, Grizzles – 25, Spurs - 26
3. Delon Wright – PG – Utah - Mavericks - 21, Bulls – 22, Spurs - 26
4. Anthony Brown – SF – Stanford - would need to get past Spurs – 26
5. Tyus Jones – PG – Duke – Rockets – 18, Raptors – 20 , Mavericks – 21, Bulls – 22.
6. Kevon Looney – Stretch 4 – UCLA – Raptors – 20, Mavericks – 21, Blazers – 23, Grizzles – 25, Spurs – 26
7. Sam Dekker – SF – Wisconsin – Raptors – 20, Mavs – 21, Bulls – 22, Blazers – 23
8. Rashad Vaughn – SG – UNLV - Bulls – 22, Spurs – 26
9. Jarell Martin – SF / PF – LSU – Blazers – 23, Grizzles – 25, Spurs – 26
10. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson – Raptors – 20, Bulls -22, Blazers – 23, Cavs – 24, Grizzles – 25, Spurs – 26

Jerian Grant is my favorite out of them, but doubt he makes it into the 20s, so I included him just because I want him to fall to us. or if we trade up
If we are going PG in FA, and I think we will... Justin Anderson or Anthony Brown are the right choice.
If our biggest signing is a 2 or 3, then Delon Wright is a good choice if he slips a bit.
RHJ is so low because while he will be great defensively, he will be awful on offense. He can't shoot worth a lick, and that will be a huge problem.

Draft Express - Jahlil Okafor, Justin Anderson, Cliff Alexander
Sam Vecenie - Jahlil Okafor, Rashad Vaughn
Chad Ford - Jahlil Okafor, Joseph Young (22 picks ahead of what Draft Express has him)
Gary Parrish - Karl Anthony Towns, Christian Wood
Zach Harper - Jahlil Okafor, Anthony Brown
Kurt Helin - Karl Anthony Towns, JP Tokoto
Scott Howard - Cooper - Jahlil Okafor, Rashad Vaughn

What I think the opening night roster will be:

PG: Goran Dragic / Jordan Clarkson
SG: (Green , Wes Matthew Year 1 wasted, Aaron Afflalo) / Wayne Ellington / Anthony Brown
SF: Kobe Bryant / Nick Young
PF: Julius Randle / Ryan Kelly
C: Jahlil Okafor / Tarik Black / #34 / Robert Sacre

or

This one is harder to predict because a lot of these guys could play up a position, and throws off everything

PG: Jordan Clarkson / (A PG for $5-6mil)
SG: Kobe Bryant / Wayne Ellington
SF: Tobias Harris / Nick Young / Justin Anderson
PF: Julius Randle / Ryan Kelly
C: Jahlil Okafor / Tarik Black / # 34 / Robert Sacre

Still :x

He'll be on decline by the time were good.
Clarkson could develop into a better player.
Not sold on maxing a dragic or Aldridge.

Jimmy, Harris, or green? Sure.

Not worth tying up money in older guys imho
