That's the exact problem the Lakers are running into though. Their selling point is a guy who played half a game, broke his leg, and has a messed up ankle, another guy who had a good half a season, and another guy who hasn't played a game in the NBA. Its real hard to get free agents to come here with a bunch of unknowns. If we try to sell people on basketball we are selling them on the fact that we won 20 games last year and are adding a couple young people who may or may not pan out. This is as much on the tanking strategy as it is on management or Kobe. Hard to blame players who are nearing the end of their prime for not wanting to sign onto a rebuild (thats exactly what this is). Its going to be another couple years before people will actually want to come here again because that is how long it is going to take our young core to develop.

I hope so. Even tho I don't think he's worth more than 10/year I understand we might have to overpay to get a quality big.

Just think you could be paying Iman Shumpert $10mil a year.. Because he's known as a Defensive Player who occasionally hits a 3 Pointer.
Turns out he's a worse defensive player than Nick Young statistically.

I get all that. I really do. You spend wisely.....but thats gonna help the feeling I will have when RoLo & Harris both are gone by the time Mitch and Jim wakes up in the morning.
All I want is decent talent signed to push this team in a forward direction. Seeing the same old bum retreads does not do that.

The thing is they leak nothing. Which is why they get hit with a lot of shots from writers.
They could have already moved on.. And been on Plan B..

Dude averaged 12 and 8 last year playing like 25 minutes a night. Thats good production. And he really stepped up his midrange game.

He still has plenty of knowledge. You'd think that someone would want to play with and learn from him, work out with him, go to dinner and pick his brain. But damn, it seems that nobody even will want to do that. It is a shame.
