@SeanDeveney Another team that contacted F/C Jordan Hill as a backup plan to LaMarcus Aldridge and DeAndre Jordan: The @dallasmavs
I may have to root for Jordan to return to the Clippers for this alone.

@Chris_Broussard: Possible Plan B if Lakers K on the big names: Amare, David Lee, Jordan Hill

SMDH

Honestly after the cp3/dwight fiasco I thought we would be lost in no mans land for at least 8-10 years. We are doing alright after taking it up the a** from fuhrer Stern. Getting consideration from the big name FA every offseason shows the Laker brand is still strong, just need to update their methods to this new modern era of the NBA. I strongly believe we will adapt and flourish sooner than later!

SPL championship here we come

@ESPNSteinLine: Concurrent with their pursuit of David West, I'm told Wizards continue to shop Nene but clinging to hope they can trade him into cap space

Watch us trade for Nene in desperation

Amare, Kobe and the three youngsters could be even worse on defense than last year.

You would be cool with maxing a somewhat poor mans Rudy Gay? I totally understand the cap rise and it lessening the blow but isn't it telling his own team isn't that high on him, and neither is the rest of the NBA. I don't even think Magic fans are big on him. He has the reputation as a ball stopper, etc. The Magic probably try to keep him so he can be used as an asset.

I'm biased though. I never was big on him nor his game. The one thing he has going for him is his age. But yes I wouldn't be mad at getting him simply because the Lakers do need to get someone this free agency that can be a part of their future. They don't need a ball stopper/highly offensive minded wing around Russell, Randle, Clarkson, but yea I get it you gotta get someone.

Nobody actually watches these dudes play bro . Just gassed off info graphics and grantland articles

My brother is a huge Magic fan. And isn't in the country therefore I've been forced to watch enough games to keep him informed to know Tobias has All Star potential and at the very least gives you a versatile 6th man.

Harris wasn't my #1 target, but at this point you take what you can get. A 22 year old combo forward that can score on a manageable contract moving forward is not bad.

I could live with harris only because we struck out on everyone else. But a guy like Greg monroe, I would be physically disturbed having him on my team

would Tarris be accepting of a 6th man role?

Moratorium/cap hold is the reason and only reason nobody's made any offers. In the meanwhile, gotta fill holes with UFAs/wait around for the other guys to make decisions(I think DJ makes his today or tomorrow). As said above, the rebuild is OFFICIAL.

Considering the team has striking out on all the major bigs, there's been dialogue to acquire David Lee from the GSW with a pick coming along as well.
Another big we could look into trading for is Nene, the Wizards are looking into signing David west but would have to create cap space. Hes a solid paint presence when he wants to be, and could bring along a better pick than the GSW
?

Man, it really has come to this....
