So have rck & Chester given up the Laker ghost now that the pipedreams are fading?

i dont mind d-will, just not crazy about the 2nd year being in his hands.

lakers had a tough offseason. still a decent little core moving forward, but disappointing not adding any pieces.
I truly believe their core is much better than decent. Russell and Randle have the potential to be really great players. Clarkson has the potential to be a very good player as well. Same with Upshaw, but he's a total wild card that you cannot rely on. It just will take a bit of time. Hopefully sooner than later.

What's Bynum up to at this point?

. Hill is going to be a Laker again

. And even worse, watch Wes come back.

Honestly, I know it's not reasonable, but I'd just want the young guys to get as many minutes possible without burning them out. Let them develop on the court. Give Black, Upshaw, Russell, Randle, Clarkson, Nance, Kelly, and ABrown all the minutes they can handle, without burning them out. Rather have guys like Upshaw and Black develop than having a one year rental in Hibbert.

But realistically we do need some vets to play in the frontline. I like Koufos a lot. He'd be this years Ed Davis.

OK, so what are the realistic options now?

Carlos Boozer?
Amare ?
Hill?
Brandon Bass ?

Xavier Henry?
Gerald Green?

Gotta stop crying about who we didn't get and put together an actual team

Who did you want realistically and what would you have done instead. Lay out the Mamba MVP plan.

Not taking shots at you, just curious.

It's pretty simple. After they botched the meeting with LMA to start, MOVE ON.

Re-sign Boss instead of bringing back Hill ( which they're going to end up doing)

Sign a vet/young wing if possible.

Don't waste time with DeAndre.

In general terms after the message was clear the top guys were not there. Use the time to actually sign pieces that will actually supplement and accentuate the young core and help their progression be more smooth. Instead of throwing them out there with a bunch of 1 year rag tag vets again who will be playing for their next contract. You know that thing they vowed NOT to after the Melo fiasco last summer. That's what they should have done. Can't believe I'm saying this but do what the Knicks did after it was clear they'd miss out on the big fish and actually try and build a team. That's my plan, but silly me for thinking these clowns up top have a clue.

I think the next step is to look at some trades with PHI, at least pry away Jason Thompson?
