Lakers are the hot girl that everyone used to wanna smash. However, she started putting on weight, face started to break out like moon craters, all the partying and fame got to her and her grill looks all messed up. She let herself go.

Recently, she's been through detox, been eating all the right food and keeping a healthy diet. She exercises daily to trim off all the nagging fat. And results are promising, she's getting her figure back, and all her friends and family at home are telling her how good she looks in that new dress.

The day comes, she finally puts on that shinny new dress and heads to the club with everyone she used to chill with, feeling confident and eager to show off her new shape. She throws back some shots and works up the courage, but does not go holler at the all-state quarterback yet, she wants to wait until the timing is right, and instead goes talk to the dudes who she knows used to wanna smash back in the days. However, to her surprise, none of them gives her the time of day. And one of them rejects her and pours a shot over her head, the entire club laughs at her.

ESPN has been throwing shade on the lakers ever since the TW deal so now every single time the lakers don't capitalize in some aspect they run with the story of the franchise losing its aura. I mean damn LaMarcus has a better chance to get paid AND win like right now. Year one in SA. Can't fault us for that. After that every FA that pops up is gonna be blockbuster FA if the Lakers interview him....

And the fans ain't no better, who the flavor of the week FA they run with it. Guys on Twitter talking bout throwing the bank at Greg Monroe like

Cats act like the sky is falling. Relax. Get better pieces that are movable more so than giving out bad contracts b/c the rest of the league is doing it

i mean if you guys want to keep it funky with the sources. you got some of these other ones that refute the "underwhelming" meetings

Source close to DeAndre Jordan calls Lakers presentation "very professional." Disputes any DJ issue with it. Jordan mulling several options.

The @aldridge_12 camp pushing back hard against LAT story that he's already eliminated the Lakers from consideration: "completely false."

you can run either way with any of these little blurbs.

all im saying is don't take sources for 100% fact and try to be skeptical about them. i mean you guys were praising our FO last week during the draft, and are already ready to tear it apart.

have a bit more optimism

If we pull any 1-2 of Monroe, Boss and/or Tobias, I'm completely happy.

Add ingredients to a young mix.

Boss/Upshaw/Sacre
Randle/Black/Nance
Tobias/Brown/Swaggy
Kobe/Clarkson
Russell/filler

I'm totally good with that. Let the kids learn and grow, eventually they will start to show they belong. Going forward, others will take notice and take our money.

Also gives us trade options/assets to make other moves down the line. Maybe try to buy up another pick from someone.

It's Woj hes mad

I'd go Tobias and Ed Davis.

Unload Ryan Kelly.

And use Tarik Black as a trade chip during the season. Hopefully to get a late first. He's a RFA. We can't afford to pay him a boatload to be the 4th big on a roster.

[emoji]128517[/emoji] at these contracts that some of these guys are getting. Tristan Thompson getting 80 Million to come off the bench? 60 mill for Demare Carroll? Smdh....

Anybody know Cleveland's payroll? Holy crap they must be in luxury tax territory

10 mill per yr to Iman
16 mill per yr to Tristan
22 mill per yr to Love

Then LBJ, Kyrie, Mozgov, Mike miller just picked up his option.....

Ed Davis and Robin Lopez please. 2+1 year deals each.

No, LMA, Ok. Fine. Thats the piece we want, he doesn't want us, I understand. Big-time Free agents now want a ready made situation to win. We're not that yet.

The "news" is saying were whiffing I say we're dodging bullets.

If I'm L.A i'm looking all over the league to try and steal players midseason...

If we sign back Ed Davis... their's a big probability we can move him during the season
Nick young at this point is a relatively cheap option (Shump is getting 10 mill a season)

I just hope they brin in one more solid Vet to help the young boys along...

Also what everyone isnt mentioning is that next year we will have upwards of 40+ mill in cap with atleast 3 young prospects.

So say a superstar is looking to move ? we have more than enough to get em. If two superstars wanna play hear & team up we will be one of the few teams with that ability.

Also i hope that we aren't banking on KD because once again i don't think there is a situation in the NBA that is going to be more prepared to win than the OKC Thunder..

Tobias Harris, four years-$70M.

Ed Davis, three years-$24M.

Tobias Harris give whatever his maximum is.

I'd go 4 / $32-34mil on Davis. No options.

I know, you shouldn't give 4 year deals to role players.. But when you look at what the cap is jumping up to, and how ridiculous Free Agency is going to be. When you get a guy at this money , you lock it up for as many years as you can.

Just need to cut Jabari Brown. Should be enough for both. About $25.1mil if cap is $69mil. Jabari isn't getting anything better than 10th man. I see him as what Manny Harris was the year before.

Would also try to dump Ryan Kelly as well. But could just wait for the deadline.

Funny thing is our 3rd oldest player would be Ed Davis, by one day over our 4th oldest player Robert Sacre

On opening night:
D'Angelo Russell (19.67) / Jordan Clarkson (23.38)
Kobe Bryant (37.17) / Nick Young (30.4)
Tobias Harris (23.28) / Anthony Brown (23.04)
Julius Randle (20.9) / Ryan Kelly (24.55) / Larry Nance Jr. (22.81)
Ed Davis (26.39) / Tarik Black (23.92) / Robert Sacre (26.39) / Robert Upshaw (21.8 )
