Young is just a gregarious type of guy. He's never really had issues anywhere he's gone. Never gets in trouble or anything. Kobe's done stupid things like stealing the Sam Cassell dance and losing the game as well. The Lakers were killing the Knicks that game. Let him live

Gerald Green was getting DNPs this season because his coach gave up on him.

All I'm saying is they are essentially the same type of player so it doesn't really make sense to me why people want him.

Hold the F up here your seriously going to bring up Kobe doing the Sam Cassell ball's juggling dance as a steal move ?

Hell when a player like Kobe brings a franchise 5 rings he can do whatever the hell dance he wants to.

What the heck has Nick Young accomplished in his career to justify him acting a fool and being a clown on & off the court ?

dont get your panties in bunch bru! theres a reason why no one wants to come to the lakers . allen was liked kobe isnt .

Is that right? That must have been listed next to that giant list of superstars that allen iverson has played with. You know cuz hes so liked and everyone wanted to play with him

Why am I already envisioning Hibbert to be Kwame Brown 2.0 or even worse.

Dude is another tall lankey dude with bad hands, horrible to zero post up game and at this point really only known as a defensive presence or anchor with off the court head case issues related to a wife or girlfriend.

:smh:

I'm actually kind of excited..

He's gonna protect the rim.

And he's going to help D'Angelo's confidence, Jordan & Julius' confidence by cleaning up messes and not allowing easy buckets.

He also fits with Julius pretty well. He basically kills anything 10 feet in, allows Julius to stay out from underneath the hoop, and float on midrange, and close in after shot is up to get the boards.

Yes. I know. Hibbert is a headcase. Yeah I know. We still stink. But there are positives to him being here. And I think he'd be a solid guy for the next X number of years. His market value is almost 0. So his contract is not going to go up much if any at all to re-up him, even if he played well. We also have Bird Rights as well.

I'm excited to see the kids grow tho man. It's gonna be feel so rewarding when they're in the playoffs in about 2 years battling.

Clarkson
Russell
Randle
Brown
Nance
Black

Just kids for now, 2-3 years, men with experience and THATS what's gonna be fun to watch. THATS, what's gonna get us a FA get.

If Nance and Brown someway miraculously turn into productive NBA role players right off the bat... Like 20-25 mins a game type dudes.

Man.

It'll be a great new era of Laker basketball :pimp:

We need a updated projected salary cap space for summer 2016 from Essential since Hibbert is a one year rental at $17 million. Assuming Kobe retires, I think we have an option on Nick Young's contract. Sacre & Tarik Black are on 1 year deals.

Current cap space.. Includes the 15% trade kicker that goes with Hibbert

For the love of Pete.. Please trade Ryan Kelly. I really like him, and think he has a role somewhere, but you didn't just draft Nance for nothing. Let him go play somewhere else, and see if he catches on. If he doesn't then there he is, in FA next year.

Would give us just shy $8.5mil on $69mil cap space, $6.4mil on $67.1mil cap space.

Cut Jabari Brown as well, gets us to $8.8mil, and $6.7mil respectively/

If it's $8.8mil, use all the cap for KJ McDaniels & Wayne Ellington on multi-year deals.

Call it an offseason. Try to get above 30 wins.

tbh, is there really a market for the  Ryan Kelly?

I feel like we would need to attach a 2nd rd pick or cash or something to have another team take him in

What could we keep Hibbert for?

4 years 40?
10 million for a big who can defend. If possible I'd like to keep him for ages 29-33

For the love of Dr. Jerry Buss & Chick Hearn we need to at any means necessary get rid of Nick Young.

He has to be the first guys to before Ryan Kelly.

Also isn't next summer the projected NBA salary cap suppose get a huge boost in the $80 to 90 million range because of the new NBA TV deal ?

God no please.

We should have just kept the younger and player with more potential in Ed Davis at $7 or $8 million for 3 or 4 years with a player option instead of taking on Hibbert.

Hibbert clearly should be treated like Jeremy Lin.One year deal and expiring contract salary cap dump.

If you want to trade him, it's unlikely this year. Next year when he's making like 6% of a cap, you'll find a suitors.

And no he doesn't need to go before Kelly.

And yes.

What did Ryan Kelly ever do to you ?

Did he take Bill Cowher's daughter from you E

Somewhere between $40-60mil on 4 years.

Considering what some guys will be getting next season, I'd take it any day of the week.

No I like Ryan Kelly, I was one of his biggest defenders for when Byron kept putting him at the 3, and he looked horrible.

Just it's pointless to keep him when we just drafted Nance, and gave him a guaranteed contract.

Also I'd like to open up space to sign a KJ McDaniels from Houston.

I'm with that

Assuming he works on his offense, gets himself more fit, and keeps beasting defensively. He very well could be our center for the next 4-5 years. :pimp:

This is his chance to prove all the haters wrong. Fresh opportunity to show what he can do, hopefully he's motivated.
