DJ is younger and far more athletic.

we dont quite need an offensive force at the 5, DJ's game perfectly balances out with what Randle offers on the offensive end and makes up for a lack of defense ( of all other players too)
agree with that. hope we get deandre  . been against lamarcus since the jump. 30 plus not a real center. if we dont get dj or marc

.no to love and LA.

i even like cps idea of the spurs trade scenario.

I don't. Just how I typed it. But could really care less about the order. If one of the 2 want to be here.. I'll be excited.

Yes. Love, DeAndre, Gasol, Aldridge are all $20.13mil max.

What about Tobias? Is he around that 20.13mil number?

I would love Gasol here, but i'd be extremely happy with DeAndre considering that we should be loaded with scoring.

I just want them to land some type of big because going into the draft I was really on the Kat/Okafor train, i've come to grips with Russell, but I still think we need someone in the middle.

I also hope Russell doesn't keep us from trying to get Westbrook.

It probably goes in one of 3 ways...

1. They go Home run (Aldridge, Gasol or Jordan) *I purposely left a name out
2. They go to restricted Free Agents (Butler, Kawhi, Harris). FIrst 2 are a waste of time, they ain't coming. If they get Harris, they go after a Robin Lopez - esque center.
3. They did what they did last year, and go for best rotational players possible at C & SG/SF but for longer contracts, and keep enough flexibility / space for 2 max contracts in 2016.

$16.775mil

$16.775mil

I hope they go for the Home Run pick with either one of those 3 Bigs you mentioned and then convince a defensive wing to take a pay cut with the promise of going far and potentially being on a championship team.

Either way, I like the summer league team, if any of those undrafted guys make it that would be amazing.

Finally we can all cheer for the same goal, those two years of team tank were rough, back to exciting times and being mad at losses.

Go Lakers!

Won't be enough money really..

We'd have to let Vander Blue go (we will). Drop Jabari Brown. Trade Ryan Kelly for nothing.

And that would be $4.364mil in cap space after giving Aldridge the max.

Again I harp on that last $5m we're giving Kobe. Fine with the first $20mil.. Just that last $5mil. 2 year / $40mil is such an even and pretty number. 2 year / $48.5 is not. :smh:

whats gonna really hurt us is if we make offers to the restricted SF's and have our money tied up and it ends up costing us DJ, Marc or other actual FA's

kind of like what we did last year waiting on Melo/ LBJ and such

i mean in the end, we still spent money but we also maintained our flexibilty

Real talk-harris/RoLo is the best option structurally/financially.
U fill 2 holes for the price of 1 max+change and have a much more expanded roster because of it.

I already made the Team D joke on the last page

Put me on TeamDRuss. Long as you're a Laker, you're family, and I'll rock with you. I don't have the time or energy to hate my team and everyone elses.

We should have yearly tryouts

This year rck and Chester battle it out for the last roster spot. Someone break a pool stick in half and hand it to them

I'm starting to settle in to having Okafor.

He's just so solid, does a lot of things really well, I just need him to pick it up on the boards and not become Brook Lopez 2.0

4 days ago...............
Some of y'all gotta get all the way in the BACK OF THE BUS!!!!!!!

You're the same guy that drafted Okafor in the Mock Draft.

And then the Euro Zinger the second go round.

Go ahead and sit down fam.

Drafted Russell then traded for Covington, Okafor and #36 which you would agree is the better package (sidebar I was nervous that was happening in real life when Philly took Okafor)

Good try tho.

I thought I saw the writing on the wall that Okafor was the pick... I "settled" on taking Okafor because much like in gambling you take the better odds...always... Never been happier to lose $100 in my life.

I'm not tripping it was a joke, It's all good tho. :pimp:

I'm estatic, you should be too.

Shut the hell up. Honestly, this is stupid as hell.

Most of us were just high on Okafor cause we thought thats who the franchise was gonna pick. No one has slandered or said D-Russ won't be good.

Joke bruh.... calm your nips.
