No way that team gets 17. Kobe would have gone down regardless. Hasnt dude had season ending injuries in the last 3 or 4 seasons?

Guy is done

And i am one of the few that thought kobe cp3 backcourt probably wouldnt have worked

Kobe woulda made cp alter his game

If management dont mess up this pick it would have all worked out for the best

This.

Kobe doesn't need a ball dominant PG

It would have never worked.

And if love wants to come for 15-17 a year yall wouldn't sign on?

Realistically I don't see us signing anyone else but Rondo

Randle, Okafor and Clarkson = ROC Nation

I like the sound of that, looks like the Lakers can look forward to the future!

Kobe/CP3/Dwight would have worked out tremendously. Y'all trippin.

Healthy, they take pressure off one another. CP3 could rest more, when Kobe is doin things. Kobe could rest more, when Paul was doin things. Which of course would have taken the offensive load off Dwight's shoulders, and allowed him to focus on what he did best.

Defensively, Dwight, PF, Artest, Kobe, CP3, late in games? *banderas gif*

Certainly there would have been an adjustment period and all that, but those are 3 of the best 5-7-8-10 players in the NBA in 2012, with (at the time) clean injury histories, and younger/fresher legs for Paul and Dwight. Alone, each of them carried their teams into the playoffs, with stiffs around them. Together, you guys think they wouldn't have been better?

That team would have been dynamic. And I would guess, Kobe wouldn't have taken a ton of money when extension time came, as they would have had the younger mega stars in place to help him ride off into the sunset a winner, no reason to take all the cash like he did when he was all that was left. Dwight/Paul could have recruited stars to follow suit like a mutha. :smh:

The Lakers and Sacramento Kings continue to discuss a trade for Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The Lakers' offer includes the second overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft and "might be the best offer the Kings can get" at this point, according to the person, although the Kings have publicly stated they are not interested in trading Cousins.

The Lakers would probably also have to give up Julius Randle to complete the deal, among other salary considerations. Randle sustained a season-ending broken leg on opening night last season after being drafted seventh overall.

Got to move on, I still hate stern and his butt buddy gilbert though. I was quite happy that the cavs didn't take the chip this year

I had a nightmare while taking a nap that we trotted out a frontcourt of Boogie and Love to start the season. Mitch pls.

There's still a few worst case scenarios possible that could happen.

At least Kristaps is off that list finally.

:smh: can the Lakers just keep both Randle and Oka? That's all I want

If we end up with cousins we're losing the 2 and Randle and/or Clarkson.

The closer we get the more down for Okafor I am. Hopefully the media negativity will drive him to work even harder.

i'd be livid if that went down

I'd trade the # 2 pick for Cousins, if it's just the # 2 and everything else except for Randle & Clarkson.

But since it won't be that, I'm against trading the pick.

Age of the team, birthday from tomorrow to Christmas got counted.

Jahlil Okafor (20)
Julius Randle (21)
Justin Anderson (22)
Jabari Brown (23)
Tobias Harris (23)
Jordan Clarkson (23)
Tarik Black (24)
Ryan Kelly (24)
Robert Sacre (26)
Wayne Ellington (28)
Nick Young (30)
Kobe Bryant (37)

*Stash Player at # 34
Use whatever money is left to sign a backup PG.

damn, love cousins but hate this fools attitude/approach to the game.....

if yall thought bynum was wild...MAN

I dont know. Cousins will have instant impact for sure, but in the long run I can see him being toxic to the locker room/team culture.....he arguably has the worst reputation in the league :smh:

I think at his age, he is who he is....superior talent with sub-par motivation/drive.

Id cautiously pass, but shieeeet who am i.

well see.

KAT just did an interview on ESPN right now. man this kid is special, seriously bummed we wont be getting him. :frown:

Yeah, Cousins attitude is the only problem. I've been hearing people say Kobe can keep him in check but Kobe is gone after next year. Then the team would his as the leader, he's not at all ready for that.
