Ideally 7-8.5 mil would be the range but we just gave Jordan Hill 9 mil and he doesn't do anything really well.

I think some people are really underrating the high volume-high efficiency three point shooter; It's such an integral part of a lot of the winning teams around the league (Klay Thompson, J.R. Smith, Courtney Lee, J.J. Redick, Mike Dunleavy, Trevor Ariza, Kyle Korver and Demarre Carroll).

The fact that he's a (very) good defender is icing on the cake.

Definitely. I really like him as a player. I can guarantee he's getting at least 10 million.

But I'm going to assume even you can admit the 15 mill you threw out there is too much. I get it though. Seeing all these 3 and D players having success in the playoffs had you itching.

15 mil today seems like a lot

15 mil after the salary cap goes up wont look as bad.

in no way am i saying hes worth 15 mil...but even max contracts given out this summer wont look as bad in 2 years

Outside of Klay Thompson, nobody is making near 15 mil. They're all around 7-9 mil. Damarre will probably get more but he's actually more of a multi-faceted player. Danny looks like a infant anytime he puts the ball on the floor. Most of those others outside of Kyle, Dunleavy and JR are good defenders as well.

I really meant making the per year money high ($12M) over three years with a player option, not his designated max.

3 years 36 sign me up. I may prefer Carroll more though for that price.

We may draft Winslow also. Go after a big at that point.

Those guys are only make 7-9 because they signed under the old cap circumstances. Kyle also is a good defender btw.

Is he anywhere close to the shooter Green is?
No but he is the Best Defensive Pg in the league and u talkin like DG is some knockdown specialist all i saw was clanks against the Clipps and when he puts the ball on the Floor it's childlike and I've never seen him shut anybody down in my life.

I'm interested to see how Green does having to actually guard the opposing teams best perimeter player instead of the 2nd best or outside of a system that isn't on a string defensively. He doesn't have the physical gifts Kawhi has on defense. I'd much rather have Winslow if we can't get Russell or Towns.

All you saw was clanks vs the Clipps.....

So, you didn't watch the last two Finals runs? :nerd:

This year he hit 191 3's dude, and shot 42% doin it. What in the **** are you talking about?

He shot 48% from 3 in the 2013 Playoffs.
He shot .475% from 3 in the 2014 playoffs.

He had a bad series vs the Clippers, so he sucks. Come on man. :smh:

I wouldn't say he sucks... But he's not worth anything more than $7 or 8 million.

Total system guy.

Green doesn't completely suck but up until a few years ago every NBA team thought he did he is in a very favorable system with the Spurs due to a dominant low post scorer and a penetrating PG THE Spurs can get anybody to play SG and they will put up over 100 3 also Green is nothin but a 7th man at best

A better comp to me is what Jodie got...4/20 or so for jodie....4/28 or 32 at most for green considering he did it when it matters+a better defender..

When it comes down to it. Imma have to pass...I mean...what did Anthony morrow get.

10/3

^^^so 3 yrs/3.3 mill per for guys like morrow to come off the bench or drop 8-10 mill on green to start...pass. A coupla more mill gets u (potentially) tobias or Middleton and u can grab guys similar all over the FA wire for mini mid/full MLE.

:pimp:

I am starting to feel like Okafor, for all his warts is starting to become underrated.

At this point, I think it's the other way around. He can start on nearly every team, fit in seamlessly.

Morrow fits into a tier I did not touch, the shooters that are orange cones on defense that earn between $3-5M (Swaggy, Belinelli, Neal, Ben ******* Gordon).

The way I look at it, if you're a 6'6 to 6'8 wing:

You can get $3-5M per year being decent on both sides of the court (Barnes, Dunleavy, Pondexter, Carroll who's getting a raise this summer).

You can get $6-7M per year being really good on one side of the court and salvageable on the other side (Redick, Korver, Meeks, Tucker, Allen).

You can get $8-12M per year being solid-good on both sides of the court (Ariza, Deng, Iguodala, Parsons would have been here, but the Mavs made him a max player to force the Rockets' hand).

You can get the max or close to it if you can play both sides of the court really well (George, Hayward, Thompson, Butler, Leonard).

Green probably belongs in the $8-12M category, but to get a good player from a championship contending team you're going to have to overpay in this market.

Uh yea I'll take Okafor at 4 in a heartbeat of he's still there.

So now John Ireland is saying that the lakers are in talks with the kings!!!! with the lakers giving up the top 5 pick, Julius randle and nick young for Boogie and a future 1st rounder??? any thoughts since I know John Ireland is a bum
