^Yeah I mean I'm taking that into account.

I think he's worth the money. Just not as a top choice.

But say we strike out on Tobias, Middleton, Draymond, etc.

I'd be fine with him and then spending the money to get a borderline starter / backup in the Back Court.

I think it's funny that you guys think everybody sucks.

We won chips with the likes of Samaki Walker and Mbenga

And they sucked.

I dare you to contend that we won BECAUSE of them as opposed to winning WITH them.

Yes, every team has to have players that suck. If they are terrible at many things but contribute 1 or 2 things, they can win a championship by being on the team and contributing those 1 or 2 things.

But that doesn't take away their suckiness at the many things they suck at.

Also those guys were minimum players, you'd be paying hibbert upwards of 10 million a year.

Yikes.

 @ the disrespect to DJ Mbenga da gawd

His presence on the practice squad and bench gave us 2 rings.

SHOW THE MAN HIS RESPECT!

Hibbert fits with Randle. Provides rim protection. Not really an option on offense, so it gives Randle room to move.

Would I rather have KAT or DeAndre? Yes.

But say we have 9 guys on our list (Gasol, Butler, Kawhi, Jordan, Love, Tobias, Middleton, Draymond, Knight)

We miss out on all of them..... I'd be fine with Hibbert.

For example... The Pacers last year were first in defense (Hibbert, PG & Lance had amazing defensive seasons).. This year, no Lance, no PG for 70+ games.... Pacers were 8th defensive efficiency.

On shots less than 6 feet away... When Hibbert defended the shot, the FG% was 47.2%. The average for the guys taking shot was 59.5%. That's mind-blowing.

No way should Hibbert be choice # 1. But somewhere on the list? Ahead of Rondo? Yes please.

Not once did I mention he would be the focal point of our run.

You guys just ***** and complain about everything... Talking about Hibbert wouldn't be a good piece to this team

I know there's no pleasing you guys, but just get real.

It's like Essential is the only person in here who really thinks critically.

Thumbs up.

Nice try, but no.

There are posts where people clearly said he could be of some value.

So that had already been said, plainly. We already showed an understanding that he could be of SOME sort of service, yet you still came through like, "But, Mbenga is a champion."

Why? Because we said Hibbert couldn't contribute? Can't be that, because we said the opposite.

Dudes argue and throw stones literally because that's what they're used to doing.

Ok with all this disgusting Hibbert talk. What would the right offer be?? What's the contract??

I prefer we don't have that bid ogre but what's the price?

Hibbert is not gonna decline his option anyway

He definitely won't.

Next offseason though I'd give him 8-10 a year.

Anything 12 or 13+ I'd pass

He's still statistically one of the most valuable defensive players in the league... Something this team has been allergic to for seasons b

Someone really uttered Kendrick Perkins name though? I'm still in disbelief.

This all started because P asked about Hibbert.

Damn you P. Keep those fire fueling questions to Twitter

Hypothetically You'd want him for $12-13mil. Sucks for 2015-16 cap, but great in the final 3 years of the contract.

But Indiana would drive up the price to $15mil-ish because they'd be stupid to let him go.

That's part of the reason why he's a guy you go after IF all your other options go down the drain.

If they can get rid of Bummy P it's like getting him for 7 or 8 mil. That's a bargain.

I think they hold onto to him for this season.

Would be a net negative to drop him without replacement. Just don't have the cap ability to do it if we want to add starters as opposed to bench players.

In 2016, if you want to get rid of him, it's much easier to replace because you have $40+ mil in cap space.

Bring Jabari brown back or Ellington for 1/3 of the price.

Swaggy was playing a lot of his minutes at SF this past season anyways. The Lakers could bring back Brown and Ellington if they wanted to.

Lakers looking to eventually work out randle at the 3. They seem hell bent on turning 4s into 3s but I think julius is capable, seen him cook dudes like dorrell wright. He should play like a 4 at the 3 and a 3 at the 4. Makes for a versatile lineup when you factor clarkson playing the 1/2

Good lord, they may actually be going after Love if this is the case.
