Marc, LMA, Dragic ain't coming here, be realistic. Dragic will stay for $, Marc will stay or go to SA and we did his bro dirty, and LMA will go back home.
And if Portland gets bounced in the 1st? I think lakers do a good job selling FA on their vision, and we have a bright future.

I'd go after middleton, harris, and LMA this offseason. We should throw max contracts at leonard and butler and hope for luck because no meaningful free agent is going to disappear within the 6 days it takes to clear those RFA offers.

that's risky, what if Tobias signs an offer sheet in that time? It's a risk . I think there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff that goes on, conversations between GMs and agents where Mitch can gauge whether FAs can be had or will stay put

Someone in here was hyping Monty up something fierce like 2/3 seasons ago.

Anyone remember who that was?

Wonder if that person still feels like that, like Monty just needs talent, like Monty is the bees knees. :nerd:

Monty is a not as dumb Byron.

Brad Stevens woulda had this same Pelicans team up 2-1

Monty has a single player worth a damn. He just turned 22.

Against a 67 win team.

And I should regret sayin I'd like a chance to look at him with a competent GM giving him talent to work with?

Naw.

Mistakes were made, but Monty didn't force AD to miss a clutch free throw that coulda put the game away.

AD missed, Steph didn't.

I'm not hypin Kerr and dissin Monty on somethin like that.

If we get LMA to have him play the 5 with Julius at the 4..Byron Scott would absolutely be the wrong coach for that team. Not saying he's the right coach for any team...but especially this team.

That roster would be below average defensively at the front court and we'd need to speed up the game and open up the floor to take advantage on offense...something Byron's never heard of.

Brad Stevens belongs in college ball.

Coaching at UCLA.

That celtics roster is ****** trash and he has them playing there tails off. Man I wish the lakers woulda got a college coach.

Btw Etorre Messina is in consideration for the thunder job, watch them blow the roofs off of everyone next year

Brad Stevens said he learned everything he knows about coaching from Byron Scott though. Said they've been friends for 15 years, he's been groomed by Byron. Gives a lot of credit to him.

Looking through the prospects currently 23 - 34 Draft Express... Haven't factored in team needs, but you can assume that it's close to right.

There's only 2-3 interesting names.

1. Justin Anderson
2. RJ Hunter
3. Timothe Luwawu (wing from France, 3 & D guy)

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is now out of reach due to a few guys going back to school, and Caris Levert went back :smh:.

Could go one of a few ways.
1. Try to move up and hope we snag Anderson or Rondae Hollis-Jefferson by packaging the 27 & 34.
2. Just sit at 27, if neither is there trade away the pick for a 2016 First Round Pick with Top 18 Protection. I'd hold onto the 2nd, chances are you won't get a better 2nd than 34, so just let that ride.
Then hope Luwawu is there at 34. If not go Dakari Johnson or Robert Upshaw, and then cut Sacre :frown:

It's not worth making a pick for the sake of making a pick. Trade with someone for their 2016 make it lottery protected. And maybe we get lucky and it comes in at 21-22 next year. Also gives us the chance to develop Clarkson, Randle, Hopefully a Top 5 pick to see what we have, and then we can better scout 2016 Draft, and make a more sound pick, instead of having the entire board free basically.

Already know who I want to go after in 2016. One name is obvious, the other matters based on who we draft.

FYI, 37.8% chance of landing in the Top 3, 35.1% chance of being # 5, 17.2% chance of losing the pick.

Last 10 Drafts for the 4th worst team:
2014 - # 5 Dante Exum
2013 - # 5 Alex Len
2012 - # 1 Anthony Davis (tied for 3rd, but lost coin flip, so were 4th seed, but had about a 4% better chance of being in Top 3)
2011 - # 6 Jan Vesely
2010 - # 6 Ekpe Udoh
2009 - # 3 James Harden
2008 - # 5 Kevin Love (traded for # 3 pick O.J. Mayo)
2007 - # 3 Al Horford
2006 - # 5 Shelden Williams
2005 - # 6 Martell Webster
