Byron would let Kobe do whatever the **** he wanted and get frustrated with Swaggy. What the hell is he doing to do with Boogie?

i don't know about you guys but I see Bryon messing everything up this upcoming off-season

How is Boogie a headcase?

Has he ever been arrested?
Sacramento ever had too suspended him?
Has he ever fought with teammates?
he's a late maturing young man

Guys in here wanna throw away the future for Cousins

Get real.

3-4 more years of this tho :\

Love Julius, really do, but is he a franchise altering player? We saw him in summer league/preseason and were you in awe?

I'd be down with it if we get KAT or Russell. No one else's potential is worth what DMC is RIGHT NOW.

Bottomline if he was a perfect player (Anthony Davis) he wouldn't be available.... for anything.

... and like E most likely he's not going anywhere. *shrugs*

It's a fun conversation to have, especially while we wait for the lottery.

3-4 years of what?

We aren't tanking/losing for 3-4 more years man, why would you think that?

Mediocrity...

borderline irrelevance!

Maybe a slight exaggeration... but if Ju and our pick don't quite work, don't quite reach their potential it could very well be.

Lets face it, free agents don't want to be build anything... they want to step into a ready-made situation.

Getting KAT to pair with Julius is everything right now

He's the only sure thing in the draft. A real, tangible franchise changer.

I've always prefaced my post that way.

If we have another option that can shorten the rebuild and have longterm benefits. Why the **** not?

Ways. Cat. Skin. More.

One scenario on the personnel grapevine gaining steam is the notion that the Spurs could elect to explore the possibility of dealing away Tiago Splitter to create more financial flexibility. Splitter has two years left on his contract valued at just under $17 million and is quietly regarded as a key contributor in San Antonio given how well he fits as a frontcourt sidekick next to Duncan. But if you're the Spurs -- and if the increasingly loud rumbles about Aldridge having San Antonio as the preferred destination atop his wish list prove true -- examining Splitter's trade market might suddenly become unavoidable.

Sure.

Acquire splitter to give them room to get LMA...nah let em stay dead. Plus he's a bum anyway.

Hate his inability to finish around the basket, but not a bum. In fact, he's kind of their x-factor.

Meh. X-factor when you have two other great defenders in Kawhi and Tim out there but on our team? Nah I'll pass

I love how Thibs is about to become available and we're stuck with Byron for at least 3 more years

No way management fires a "fan favorite" and another coach after one season.

makes me wish we kept MDA for another year

so experts are saying lakers need to pick up this emmanuel guy from china... saw his highlights and I say NAH.... dude is balling against undersized and weaker chinese guys... I said the same thing about exum... you cannot be impressed about these highlights cus of the competition these foreign guys are against...

if we somehow stay at 4 and these guys are available, give me Winslow or Russell

Yea I got exum vibes from Mudiay too. not like he was tearing it up in China either. Hopefully this is just another laker smokescreen

If Clarkson is considered part of the long-term future, I don't like him being paired with Mudiay.

Edit:

The Lakers know they need a star. They're definitely a potential trade destination for Lawson, but that would basically mean that Lawson's value has hit rock bottom, and the Nuggets would be sending Lawson out just to get rid of him, and taking whatever dreck the Lakers are willing to send back. There is, however, the idea of a deal involving Jordan Clarkson, giving the Nuggets a talented young point guard and the Lakers an immediate upgrade who doesn't have to be an alpha dog with Kobe Bryant around.

Just an opinion piece.

After all the trash Lawson has talked, he would get traded to the Lakers.
