No need for the Lakers to overthink this. See 1st if they can move up to #1, if not, pick Towns or Okafor whoever Minny doesn't pick. Decline Hill's option. Whatever you do, do not let Raton Rondo anywhere near the facility this summer. Sign either a RFA/UFA SF to slide in to the starter role. Make Bean's last season somewhat tolerable maybe even push for a 8 playoff spot.

2016...offer everything including Jeanie's breasts for KD.

June 2018...proceed to parade down Figueroa.

If Towns goes 1, and I can get some sort of word from DeAndre's camp, I take Russell at 2, sign DeAndre and SF at 27.

With the likely signing of Okafor and with the pairing of him with Randle out front court will be crazy dynamic. But we will have to surround those 2 by defenders. Primarily around the perimeter to at least slow down penetration.

It would be in our advantage to keep a player like Boss and keep Tarik Black to help shore up some defense and rebounding.
Then try to put some 3 & D guys out on the perimeter. Maybe a Danny Green or Middleton. That way it will keep the floor spread and we won't get broken down on the defensive end so easily.

Oh.. My. This guys footwork is insane. I use to be a firm believer that his game could not translate to the NBA because it is outdated, but I look like Timmy in San Antonio that is school young cats with his posts moves. Maybe that lost art in today's game can work to his advantage.

Look guys, we pretty much ALL prefer KAT.
For obvious reasons, we're all pretty much on the same page. His game transitions better for today's NBA, and his defensive presence would be massive.

And I have the same doubts about Okafor as most, his shooting and especially his defense :x

But, let's say Wolves have a change of heart and take KAT... I don't think we can really complain and whine about landing Okafor.

Because, well... We're pretty fortunate to even be at #2 let alone keep our pick after all.

I'll be hoping for KAT, but at the end of the day Okafor is a massive [cp] asset [/cp] whether he turns out to be Hakeem or not.

Either way we're on our way back up

If Karl-Anthony Towns is determined to get to Lakers, it'll be interesting to see how agreeable his camp will be to meeting with Minnesota.

So like I said, it may not be 100% lock that Minny will back off KAT, but it's a LOT better odds for us at 2, than at 4-5 (obviously)

Much, much easier for his camp to work with us only being one spot back, and the Wolves knowing they have Wiggins's buddy and consensus top 2-3 pick right there with no problems to worry about, FROM the midwest, and slots into the PF spot just fine, while Towns would push incumbents in Pek and Gougi out the way.

If you're Minnesota, you take that risk?





*Note, I fully believe the Wolves should take Towns and pair him with Wiggins and let it work itself out on the court, but they won't sleep for years worrying about keeping him happy and having to pay both players in back to back years.

f a trade...ive seen dudes post about adding our late first rounder/2nd rounder to ensure we get the #1 pick

why would we do that? 

we're ending up with one of these big men, either way. whoever it is, all we can do is hope for the best and they pan out.
