we pick players based on 10 year stints now? o_O

If age was a factor in that list, I'm assuming we're talking long term. Why else would age matter? He clearly said CP3 is currently better than both right now.

Kyrie only does one thing well and that's score. He can't lead a team or facilitate an offense and is a matador on D. There are A LOT of guys who I'd start a team with (even considering age) over Kyrie.

Ask yourself this....do you even consider Kyrie a PG?

I mean, before the triple double rampage, tons of people thought Russell wasn't a PG. The knocks against Kyrie are very legit but being an elite shooter, finisher and ballhandler with the tendency to explode can cure a lot of that. He would just need the right team around him to grow as a PG. With LBJ playing point, coach, GM - Kyries job is to score. Can't really think of other PGs Id take over him outside of Steph, CP3, Russ and Wall. Maybe Conley?

Right team around him? He's thriving as a 2-guard, pretty much. Kyrie as a PG wasn't cutting it. And this was before Lebron.

Curry, Paul, Russ, Wall, Conley, Teague, Lawson, Lowry, etc. are all guys you can make a case for being better PGs than Kyrie. No knock on him, because I do think he's a fantastic, undersized 2 guard.

And Stockton did lose MJ twice in the finals. Ain't no shame in that. I'm one of the biggest CP3 fans but that was a pathetic collapse and he's the leader of that team.

That + all-time assists and steals leader + NBA ironman (missed like what, 20 games his entire career?).

Gary Payton also said he was the hardest PG he ever checked. But yeah, let's compare him to a conference finals virgin.
Exactly.

Since die hard CP fans are so into advanced stats, PER, or whatever check out Stockton's stats from 88 - 97.

Crazy.

I'm still stuck on last night's comment that Bron was top 5 SF pre-Heat.

Bird, Nique, Pip...

Who else? Grant Hill? He put in as many pre-injured years as Bron did pre-Heat, and I'd argue that THAT Hill was better than THAT Bron. :nerd:

Want to say Worthy, but I know I'm kidding myself. James was a better scorer, I know that. :nerd:

Was James really a top 5 All Time SF before the Heat, with no rings? :nerd:

I'm not saying this to defend CP, but as a Clippers fan, I'm much more disappointed in Blake. You can't go from arguably the best player in the playoffs to a turnover machine who's scared to shoot in the span of a couple games. It was maddening to watch. And most concerning, I don't know how that gets fixed. I guess by continuing to build confidence and learning from his mistakes.

Not winning is not winning.

You boys want to hand out imaginary "points" for when someone lost.

Losing is losing.

John Stockon never won ****.

How you gonna name all these guys over Bron when he's the only MVP and player to lead his team to the finals besides Bird?

He was already the second best SF ever, now he's the best.

Stockton doesn't get nearly the credit he deserves.. Give me him over cp any day of the week

Also, you know you wouldn't be getting any of cp's antics out Stockton

John Stockton never won a damn thing, where's all his slander?
In terms of PG play you have to go with Stockton.

He's the reason Malone is 2nd on the scoring list. As far as the slander, Stockton made it to two finals, but unfortunately he ran into Mike.

If only John Stockton was 6'4"
john stockton lost twice to the greatest player in the history of the sport. chris paul hasn't even come close to that level of competition.
Shouldn't even have to be explained but NT gon NT

It's true though...
It's debatable.

Stat wise yes. Won MVP 3 times before his first ring. I'm not even a lebby fan but he's in the convo.

And can we quit acting surprised the clips choked

agreed. the only good team in cali is golden state. like are were really surprised that the clippers and lakers aren't any good?

This CP slander is hilarious...so he sucks because he can't get past the 2nd round...needs to be traded...

Come on B. If anybody needs to be getting slandered its Blake for his 4th Q disappearing acts.

This failure is on the organization. Doc is a great coach but he needs to step aside as GM...Clips gotta get a bench and a better supporting cast. Resign Jordan and everybody else besides CP and Blake are fair game. Even if they beat the Rockets; that team doesn't have enough to win a title.

They had a 3-1 lead against the rockets after knocking out the spurs and still lost, including a 20 point comeback in game 6 that no one on earth truly believed would happen. So it is surprising.

Yeah, losing is losing but you gotta put **** in perspective. There is a huge difference between losing to the GOAT in the finals and blowing a 3-1 series lead to the Houston Rockets in the semi finals.
in doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile. a win is a win.

almost? man you never had your car.

So is Chris Paul a perennial loser then?

Don't make excuses, just say the words please.

You need a hobby.

I don't care about no Clippers, I'm not making excuses for anyone.

Just curious why a guy who's career isn't over yet is labeled a loser but a guy who played 20yrs and never won **** isn't.

Spot on. (And I made a post sayinf CP should be traded, but it was sarcasm. I hope that was clear by saying he should be swapped for J Lin)

the organization did fail. cp3 showed up the ENTIRE series. blake showed up the entire series (except the 4th quarters) DJ showed up as much as he could (them damn free throws man

) the supporting cast are the ones who were calling out often. and reddick, barnes, austin, and crawford can DEFINITELY hold their own... they just didnt show up when needed. simple as that.
