OFFICIAL 2016 @HEAT PLAYOFF THREAD

Great season. Nothing to be ashamed of. Whiteside's injury killed us. On to the offseason

This, disappointed at the way they went out but they fought through a lot just to get to this point.

Now time to reload not rebuild, hopefully Hassan wants to be a part of what Riles is building

Also, lets not forget, the Bosh injury killed us as well.

Down 2 out of 3 stars and pushed it to 7 games. Can't complain man, can't complain.

I'm not going to state the obvious with how I feel about our head coach but I am proud of this team and love the heat regardless. I spend half the year in NYC and the other half in south Florida for work. But when I drive around NYC I proudly sport my Miami Heat tags on my car. Through and through I'm not disappointed in this team at all and in their effort in today's game. It just wasn't meant to be.

Barring injury this team would've made Bron Bron's team sweat. The only thing I can hope for this offseason is:

1) resign Whiteside
2) pray for Chris Bosh's health. He's a huge difference maker in our success.
3) go all out for Durant!!! A lot of sports riders think we have a good chance in landing him. We got to make that happen!
4) if our efforts for Durant fail, you know we need the next best thing and that's Paul George! He's 25, top ten player in the league, and he has huuuuge upside.
5) Winslow ~ work work work work on that jump shot and your overall offensive game.
6) trade McRoberts for a younger more athletic true PF.
7) I think Wade resigns but if he's asking for $20+ million again, play hard ball and play your options.
8) last but not least FIRE SPOLSTRA :nerd:

You guys have to give up the idea of Durant. It's unrealistic and definitely never going to happen.,..

^ while I agree, everyone said the same thing about 2010

Big differences between 2010 & 2016.

2010, Wade was in his prime, Lebron & Bosh were his great friends and more importantly 3 max slots.

2016 Wade is 34, Bosh may never play again & there's only 40-45 million available.

Like I said, I agree. I rather see us pay Wade and Whiteside than go after Durant BUT I wouldn't put it past Riley to come up with something lol

Agreed, chasing after KD all summer would be an exercise in futility . Might as well build on what we have, resign both abd try to add a few pieces, hopefully a couple shooters .

As its been mentioned though,I'm sure Riles has got something up his sleeve...:nerd:

No way, so much is different now than in 2010. It made sense for lebron to come here, people just never thought he would jump ship from Cleveland and create a super team in Miami since it hadn't really been done before...now it's the norm.

It doesn't make sense for KD to come to Miami. His team is tied with the best team in the NBA and 3 wins away from going to the finals. He's not going to come to MIA to play with an aging Wade (not trying to take anything away from Dwade here, he had a great season). And I'm not even going to get into the fact that KD wants to be the anti-lebron (he won't follow his footsteps to Miami).

I have a feeling Riley knows they have no shot at KD, but rather he's using the whole idea of it as a decoy for something else big

I can tell by Riley's presser that he wasn't 100% confident in Whiteside. It's as if he's saying the right things to keep him on the back burner and not upset him if his primary options fail. I see you Riles.
