We. Need. Shooters.

I just don't know how we can get them. Riley's hand was forced with resigning wade and dragic which tied a lot of money up. And to save room for whitesides contract. He needs to do something before the deadline or we will not make a decent playoff run. If we can get to the ECF with shooters we could take down Cleveland in 6-7 games if healthy*

we didnt HAVE to get dragic. it was a ditch effort and the payoff still remains to be seen. but dragic is NOT panning out and has not panned out thus far. its looking more and more like dropping norris and napier was a bad decision. 
 
Dragic has been playing well recently before both the hand injuries where he sat out a few games. Then just last night he had a clutch 3 to put the game away with 22 to add on.
 
This loss is credited to Spolstra. Players were doing their job. He didn't make the right moves in the 2nd half to keep the lead for an easy win.

Why would you shoehorn Amare in the game when they needed a spark? Terrible loss. Probably the worse of the season with all things considered.

1st half we looked real good
2nd half all of sudden nobody can shoot

Beno Udrih is worst then McRoberts!! This guys shot is so bad it's not even funny!!

wholeheartedly disagree. for every 1 game where dragic does well, 5 bad ones follow. i cant compliment him at all
 
Agreed. Pat has to be working the phones. The east is actually good this year so mediocrity won't get it done. 2nd place a few days ago to 8th place today. January stretch coming up :smh:

I don't need to harp on Lance much more, also wouldn't mind a more stable replacement for Gerald Green and Udrih... they are killing our defense and not consistent enough on offense to matter.

Also need to trade one or some of our extra bigs for an extra wing defender on the reserves (preferably, all the second bigs aside from McBob/Bird/UD)

Regardless of anything tho, we need another wing Ballhandler to play along Wade and Dragic because Dragic just isn't a good enough fit here to be the primary ballhandler and Wade can't carry this team or help that it's dysfunctional. Our biggest deficit right now is that the core of the team doesn't fit in together NOT shooting, we need something to build around and that thing is Wade... which is one of the reasons I think Lance is by far the best fit for us but only IMO. The shooting could use some tweaks but it's not more important than the fact that our core doesn't mesh well. We are shooting a lot better than we were in November and losing like twice as many games in December... Losing Rio/McBob and Tj for some time hurt our defense and is exposing our offense even more. We need to fix both and make major moves without losing any key pieces

i agree with everything except for gerald green leaving. he shows high promise on the team and was doing very well for a good stretch. which leads me to believe hes in a bad stretch right now. i said it this summer that every day the whole team shouldve been on crash 3pt shooting drills. nonstop. its clear we're not trading for a 3pt shooter. and to be honest there arent that many top notch shooters on the table to be had. so... in my eyes that means u have to create them yourself. green already has a decent 3. build on it. 

understand, that if we could get wade, tj, and green, to be able to shoot the 3 at least 38-40%.... so the defense would have to either respect the shot or get killed from it, we would be in business. right now wade is at 24% from 3. that means out of 100 3 pointers, he'll make 24. that is f'in abysmal even by a college standard. tyler on the other hand is at 45% but he doesn't shoot it often (only shoots 2 per game) and of course hes been out. green is at 34%. So of the 3, green is the best 3pt shooter. if they could all bump up to about 40% then we have drastically changed our opponents perceptions of how to play our team. Spacing opens up like crazy.
 
The Chalmers for Udrih trade was a very bad trade!! We really have no backup PG when Dragic sits on the bench.

Birdman and McRoberts are a waste of a roster spot. Neither offer anything substantial on offense or defense and they're both being paid $5 million plus a year. :smh:

Dragic as I've been saying since last year isn't consistent enough to give us that needed lift to make this team great. Especially with his unwarranted $17 million a year contract.

There really isn't any trade bait on this team. All we have is a bunch of highly priced players that don't deserve their salary other then Wade and Bosh. Whiteside is the only player that deserves a raise but he's incredibly raw on the offensive end and we're probably going to be forced to over sign for him just to keep other desperate teams away.

Last but not least, Coach Spo doesn't have a clear vision for this team. He always has some new lineup of players closing out games and sits players waaaay to long when other teams are making a run into our leads in games (last night and the Brooklyn game 2 nights ago). Stoudimire should be Bosh and Whitesides primary backup. Not Haslem or McRoberts!! He's the huge part to blame for the majority of our loses this season with his erratic coaching decisions.
