OFFICIAL 2016 @HEAT PLAYOFF THREAD

i agree with everything except for gerald green leaving. he shows high promise on the team and was doing very well for a good stretch. which leads me to believe hes in a bad stretch right now. i said it this summer that every day the whole team shouldve been on crash 3pt shooting drills. nonstop. its clear we're not trading for a 3pt shooter. and to be honest there arent that many top notch shooters on the table to be had. so... in my eyes that means u have to create them yourself. green already has a decent 3. build on it.

understand, that if we could get wade, tj, and green, to be able to shoot the 3 at least 38-40%.... so the defense would have to either respect the shot or get killed from it, we would be in business. right now wade is at 24% from 3. that means out of 100 3 pointers, he'll make 24. that is f'in abysmal even by a college standard. tyler on the other hand is at 45% but he doesn't shoot it often (only shoots 2 per game) and of course hes been out. green is at 34%. So of the 3, green is the best 3pt shooter. if they could all bump up to about 40% then we have drastically changed our opponents perceptions of how to play our team. Spacing opens up like crazy.
Green is one of the guys that I want to believe in but he's too hot and cold. I mean I can live with it, if he can keep his head straight on defense but history tells me otherwise.

Gerald Green can be very exciting to watch sometimes. His athleticism is incredible. But is he kind of slow? I watched one of his interviews and he can barely put together a coherent sentence

Stokes looks good in the D-League but he's likely too small to make it in this league. He's got a similar frame to Draymond Green but a lot of things went right for Draymond to make it in this league, probably won't be the same for Stokes... I hope it does tho

cant discount anyone for being too small anymore. if they can play they can play lol. gerald just need to find his stride. hard to do so with lineups and rotations changing nightly. our team has many solid pieces that need to be COACHED into something great. and spo is just not up to the task. i remember seeing a post from miami heats instagram last week saying spo is personally overseeing a practice today. and that was news. it was a headline that spo attended a practice? tf is going on over there?  like i said, spo has had that "go with the flow of the game" mentality for years. and the moment he said that, ive hated him ever since. itd be like a pilot of a freight or cruise ship saying "we go where the water takes us." BRUH! WE HAVE A GOAL IN MIND. your job is to guide and direct! you cant just watch **** unfold and hope for the best. i dont understand how he sleeps at night without nightmares of getting beat by wack teams.

its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo frustrating man. on paper our team is AWESOME. should be top contenders in the east. then we just make stupid decision after stupid decision. iso ball with tired players. everyone standing around the 3 but nobody willing to pull it. what fast breaks? man

We know that Spo isn't a great offensive coach, we knew coming in that it probably wasn't going to be pretty but it's been downright terrible. 0 offball movement 0 ball movement, terrible sets... and Between Dragic/Wade/Beno/Green we don't have too many disciplined defenders, if our defense goes then we're ****.

Almost not right, the amount of offensive players we're currently misusing. Literally everyone in our starting line-up is having a worse year at this point than last year... Whiteside/Bosh would be enough for most offenses and we can't even score 100 pts consistently. McBob/Green has also been misused to some extent but it's early and no one has much chemistry together yet... not a coach so can't say how it goes or should go anyway.

Roster has its faults, Spo probably has his too but it's still early

its no longer too early. it was "too early" all of last year. now here we are WELL into the season with 0 signs of improvement, and in many ways, signs of getting worse.

I've been a big Spo supporter all these years, even dating back to my internship years 04-06.

But I have to agree that the offense looks lost. Not sure if this team has an imbalance of talent but we should not be struggling this bad.

I'm sure Riley is working the phones (when is he not

) but I only see a blockbuster trade shaking up this team. Don't see that happening.

Sucks too because I had high hopes for this team coming into the season, as I'm sure a lot of us did as well..

there is one other option.... spo steps up. and coaches. at some point, you have to stop experimenting and go with what worked before. then you improve on what worked before. 4th quarter when down by 4 with 5 minutes left is not the time to say "this is an excellent time to sit xyz player who is on fire right now, for the rest of the game. hes done enough. time for rotation 6.2 version 4 to come in and close the game." he often takes out players on fire, or sees the offense being stagnant but refuses to sub in an offensive spark. like i said, he loves that ebb and flow **** and its always the death of us.

I just don't understand. We play like this against west teams. Why can't we play like this against teams like the pistons or weaker eastern teams

You just don't get it. Spo only wants the team to lose against East teams. It's quite obvious commissioner Silver is using this team to balance the Eastern conference. Did you notice how Hassan Whiteside actually gets the ball against Western opponents. It's so obvious.

You can clearly see how distraught Wade was after he learned about this development. It literally made him dizzy and he was forced to sit out the 1st quarter. Spolestra is not only the most incompetent coach in the NBA, he's clearly one of the most evil men in America. I won't be surprised if he wasn't part of the Filipino Illuminati that propelled Ms Philippines to superstar status. We need to get this guy out of the Heat organization, he's ruining the NBA... :smh:

Jan. 1, 2006.

Ten years and two days ago.

That was the last time the Heat, Panthers and Dolphins all won on the same day.

Until today.

Ball Movement + Patience on high % shots + Defensive pressure + HASSAN EMBRACING THE COACHING = a much MUCH BETTER Heat basketball product.
this is implying that there is some form of coaching being directed towards him. and thats a huge reach.

Whiteside said Spo and the coaching staff made adjustments to the defense that allowed him to get more blocks. This seems to have motivated him. He's been great the last few games.

Gonna get this out the way now....

Lose tonight = Spo and coaching staffs fault

Win tonight = Spo and coaching staff died and Pat Riley led the team
