Yea I'm starting to think it'd be smarter using cap space to lock up Whiteside long term than gambling on the FA market next summer.

You do realize we've played 10 games right? The guy was just third team all NBA his last full season with one team. Matter a fact he just had 16 and 9 the first night his family finally moved into town

I think what a lot of us see is a player getting $85 mil over 5 years $17 mil a season and he's only averaging:
11 points a game
4 assists a game
25% at the 3 point line
3 TO's a game
Hell! Chalmers did those numbers on his off nights and he only gets $4.5 mil a year. Matter of fact, since Chalmers has been on the Grizz he's averaging 18points a game and had 29 points in a winning effort against the Thunder two nights ago.
You don't want a player with a contract like Dragic to impede the signings of; a) Whiteside, b) Durant, c) Winslow in 3 years.
Remember, the Suns easily got rid of him for a reason...

That's numbers from 10 games. The suns got rid of him because he didn't wanna be there they have bledeoe and signed Thomas back court was to crowded. Go look at the guys numbers
I'm not gonna judge a guy intill he has time to settle in. He came in last year and we were riddled by injuries. Then he got hurt we had no rhythm last year. Going by what he did his last full season there's no reason why he dosent deserve that contract especially with the cap going up.

He forced his own way out, they didn't get rid of him. Waaaaay too early for the brigade. I think he'll find his way and get going, not really worried tbh

I hear you guys but I just don't see him getting back to his old form from 2-3 years ago. He's on my team so of course I wan't him to kill it, but even the announcers Eric Reid and Tony Farrentino are pointing out his lackluster play this season, it's very obvious...
As far as the Suns go, they decided which player(s) would be more of a valuable asset in the long run. Eric Bledsoe missed a whole season coming from an ACL tear and still got a near max deal a year later and Isiah Thomas is a point guard that can give teams fits with his style of play. Saying Dragic left rather then the Suns "allowing" him to walk, is a one-sided comment.

He's played more than 10 games for us period. And i haven't seen why his contact looks the way it does yet. I doubt that I ever will

its an unfounded DREAM that like 1 person on air said was possible and people ran with it. when has kd has EVER expressed interest in miami. i cant remember a single time. its like in highschool when someone starts a rumor and its passed around so much, people start believing its a fact^^ brotha it's happening

But I believe he had that season when Bledsoe was out for the year with the ACL and he was allowed to be ball dominant. I believe the following season (beginning of last year) when Bledsoe came back is when his production started to decline.
I just find it hard to see him playing on that 3rd all-NBA player he was if he's playing with Wade.
I could be off on my timeline but that's my assessment. From the games I've watched, Tyler looks more efficient than Dragic

That's exactly why I'm not gonna bash him yet. He has to learn how to play with Wade. We had so many injuries last year nobody had the chance to gel together. I'll give it time before anything

For all the Dragic talk, I'm not worried at all. The man ain't have no lovin' from his wife in over 3 months. 
He and the team will figure it out. I actually thought Dragic played damn good ball the first half against the Timberwolves, so the potential is there. He just needs to have a complete game from beginning to end.
The silver lining in all of this is that he's getting his normal shots... he just needs to make them. As fans, I know we all want instant gratification... but it's a process. The fact that we are winning games with Dragic playing mediocre ball is a testament to this teams talent.
Give him 9 more games, then you can criticize...
Nevertheless, t'was a good team win tonight. Still inconsistent at times, but they did a lot better making free throws and limiting the turnovers. Plus we saw good Amare' tonight. I can't complain.

I'm confident they'll start to gel better as the season goes on. Vet-heavy team, things will work out.

Put it this way if dragic isn't producing the way we need him to were not winning anything or making a deep push this year. He has to play how he played in Phoenix for us to make a push.
