OFFICIAL 2016 @HEAT PLAYOFF THREAD

Sorry for the intrude, but what I saw last night was the 2nd unit didn't match the 2nd unit of Clevelands intensity. Spo stuck with Green and Winslow too long and didn't let Wade flourish, and Deng never really got a chance, he was heating up and was playing pretty solid but didn't get a chance to capitalize on it because Winslow ate into his minutes. Green wasn't hitting anything really, so Wade should've been in more while the game was still in reach. Going forward if Green isn't hitting the reserve unit is in trouble. Too many minute restrictions and plans towards keeping STAT and McBob healthy, which I understand, but the 2nd units play is going to be inconsistent because you never know who's going to be available and who isn't, so that burden rests on Green/Winslow, and they both have to be on. Y'all will still be alright come playoffs tho. Only one game so no panic.

What a game by Wade. It continues to concern me that Spo has no idea what a hot hand is. I get that you want to restrict minutes and act like Gregg Popovich but damn, D-Whistle was cookin in that 3rd quarter. As soon as he saw that Green wasnt going to get out of his funk, he shouldve put Wade right back in. Instead he waited until the 9-minute mark of the 4th, and the game had been blown open by then.

Wade was playing well, but he was probably gassed. Wade is not a a workhorse type player anymore. You need to limit his minutes and rely on your 2nd unit. Especially 2 games into the season. You can't put that loss on the coach, especially when LeBron and company were just better last night.

If anyone deserves the blame it's the 2nd unit players. Those guys didn't play well last night... especially STAT. Don't forget they were playing a team who went to the Finals last season. Lets us not start pointing fingers 2 games into the season. Give this team some time to figure things out.

Despite the loss, the Heat played hard. I think a better indicator of good coaching this early into the season is the effort their teams show... And the Heat are definitely playing hard. Which is why I'm not worried.

The starting 5 played really well, which is something we've all been waiting to see. Once this team begins to click, they will be elite. Let's enjoy the process fellas.

Is this game forrwalz?

As fans it will be hard, but expectations need to be tempered this year.

We are going to experience some erratic ball. Wade will not be able to be Wade for 30+min/game. His body has already taken too much punishment through the years.

Dragic is two months from being in game condition. Green will have the green light, but we has never been a consistent scoring option. Whiteside has all the upside, but lacks some major skills.

Bosh will most likely be the only player to deliver night in and night out.

While I'll always root for the squad and hope they win every game, I judge the bball being played on cold, hard reality.

We will have some nights where is comes together and many of those other nights.

wade sat in that corner for a full 10 seconds to shoot one shot. took so long the defender who gave up, changed his mind and jogged out to contest.  i know he mad it, but that is really bad man. wade GOTTA get some confidence from the 3 and let it fly. harden is just ridiculous with these foul calls
