OFFICIAL 2016 @HEAT PLAYOFF THREAD

He sacrificed some for the team, but he's part of the team. He would still have one ring had he not. Tired of hearing he wasn't the "top paid player on the team", boo hoo, still was extremely well compensated.
i would hate to be a on a team with some of you. yall feel nothing for loyalty or being morally correct. and this is why you don't own a team. shortsightedness and no sense of loyalty to your own employees. your legacy would be one of high turnover and everyone is expendable. you ask someone to sacrifice for you and when they do you tell em thanks then leave em hanging. nah bruh we on different sides on that one.  pay wade what we owe him. sacrificed "some" for the team. he sacrificed the MOST.

Am told that Mavericks free agent guard J.J. Barea is leaning toward taking a deal with the Heat.

This guy KILLED us in the 2011 Finals

I'm for being loyal, but only to an extent. Wade's in over his head and is on the verge of putting the team in a bind for years.

Tbh,the smarter move long term would be going after "have it all" Monta on a much, much cheaper deal than Wade but as a fan I wanna see him retire in a Heat jersey *shrugs*.

on the contrary, putting us in a bind? u know the cap is about to jump up in a year right? its smarter to lock wade in now at a price u can live with. not only that, imagine if wade plays 65-70 games this year on his current deal. now his stock just went back up while the new higher cap kicks in. NOW guess how much u gotta pay? see that?

as for bind... we have whiteside (obvious future of the team) justise (question mark but likely future of the team) dragic, wade, bosh, birdman, napier (?), ennis (?), tyler (?), mcrob.  everyone with a question mark has high potential AND is very young. white side and justise are obviously young as well. the future is very well within our grasp. if napier ennis justise and tyler put in work this off-season (which theyve already shown they're doing) our future is BRIGHT. yall looking at our team like we're still old. a lot of fresh legs out there with high potential. why are you so worried about our future? is there some big FA trade we're going to miss out on? is there some kid in college who is absolutely going to be the next kobe lebron or jordan? i dont get this method of thinking.

We have a brighter future than most, but the goal should always be to contend and in this day in age there's not a lot of room for error in order to. I don't want to jeopardize losing Whiteside after next year when he comes off the books or miss out on the likes of a Durant. I'm no salary cap expert and that all may still be feasible while retaining Wade, but I have to imagine much of the hesitancy occurring is due to similar deliberations by the front office.

Watch us grossly over pay for Wade and somehow this hurts are chances in the future to land or resign big names.

Trust me I want Wade back also but he's not worth what he's asking for. This isn't Wade from 2003 - 2011, this is a slower and less dependable DWade. Pat Riley and the Heat front office knows this but he's trying to "save face" by keeping Wade happy and wanted by any means necessary. The outcome doesn't look good but it seems it's falling on def ears in this thread.

Hopefully Whiteside proves he isnt a fluke.

The Lux Tax is going up the next two or three years right? Hopefully Wade and the FO deal around that.

Whiteside definitely isn't a fluke. He can block shots, rebound in his sleep, has great hands, and has touch around the basket. He was always projected to be a great player, where he comes short is the mental aspect of the game. Is he mature enough to be a star in this league? Can he become a more well rounded offensive player? We'll have to see...

His already better than a player like Deandre Jordan who is considered a "big free agent" and has the potential to be the best Center in the league. No joke...

And to address the luxury tax situation, the Heat have until February 2016 to unload players without penalty. I say they wait to see how the team does and then make personnel decisions at that time. If they're playing championship caliber basketball let it ride and eat up the penalty. No need to rush and trade away anyone now unless it really benefits the team.

Monta to the Pacers. This Wade deal needs to get done ASAP mean.gif
As for Manta Ellis, he was never a good fit for the Heat. Too one dimensional to be a starter for Spolstra's system and I'm sure he wasn't willing to come off the bench. I do like JJ Barea as a possible fit. A veteran PG to come off the bench with low risk.

I think the Wade deal is pretty much set, they just haven't announced it yet. All three parties involved are on vacation or out of town a of yesterday. That doesn't seem like the action of a worried or panicked team.

Let this sink in Heat fans.... We have a top 10 SG, top 10 PG, top 10 Center, top 10 PF and top 10 draft prospect all on one team. With solid role players and youth with some decent experience. Only thing we could be missing is a sharp shooter. We will be competitive. What else could you ask for.

Lets. Go. HEAT!! :smokin

Yea it's just a matter of when they wanna announce it. Keeping it real, there aren't really many other options for him anyway right now

Him being on vacation with his boys isn't an issue,CP3 and Melo are there too

Chris Bosh signed last year's contract in Ghana. Goran agreed to today's deal in Slovenia. Wade being out of town hardly an obstacle.
The future looks bright indeed

, LMA is a beast!. Really wonder how it would work out cap wise though with the wade deal still in the works...

Bosh's future would be the one up the air imo.

Anyone who would even consider turning down Aldridge is nuts. This is an incredible development. Trying not to get my hopes up.

Dinner with Riley, sources say, will come AFTER LaMarcus Aldridge has his afternoon briefing with Laker GM Mitch Kupchak & coach Byron Scott

This literally makes no sense unluess the Heat are:
A) looking to unload Bosh
B) looking to unload Whiteside
C) Some other unforeseen multi-team trade
D) Pat Riley is just bored and just is trolling us all
