At this point the only player I'd "CONSIDER" trading Whiteside for is Demarcus Cousins. But I like the way Whiteside fits in with this team, so I wouldn't even feel comfortable with that trade.

its not a popular opinion... because its a stupid thing to say. having shooters but no one to defend the paint leaves u where u started... except centers are harder to come by.

I agree. If you can't find a shooter in free agency, you develop one. Crazy as it might seem now. Justice Winslow could develop into a pretty good 3 point shooter. Case in point Kawhi Leonard...

It aint like the Heat haven't developed shooters before. Keith Askins, Dorrell Wright, Mario Chalmers, Daequan Cook....

You still with this you don't think wade or other players practice shooting 3s? Just because you put up 1000 3s a day dosent mean your gonna become a lights out shooter. If you don't have that skill set you just don't have that skill set. If it was that easy to just practice them and you develop into a shooter everybody would.do it. You make it seem easier then it is.

Most of those guys were decent shooters already. We're not gonna make a guy like TJ a lights out shooter it just doesn't happen like that. Of course he could get better and improve but he's not gonna become a knock down guy.

u downplay players skills and u also operate on extremes. u act like i said if they practice everyone will shoot 50%+ from the 3. im not saying with enough practice everyone can become steph curry. but damn and least become a DECENT shooter. we have no decent shooters. and trading for one isnt the answer. dragics contract has already come back to bite us. and whiteside gonna need money. now u got dudes suggesting to trade the best center we got (and the best defending center in the league) for shooters... when u can just mold them? nah.

Defense is key and Whiteside is the Master. And he can shoot. All around great player. I wouldn't trade him for Cousins of D Jordan. Sunday will be a great Match up.

Not my money, but if I'm Miami there's no way Whiteside walks. He is the future for organization. There aren't many big men who protect like that and you can't let him walk. Also, what's the deal with McBob, and having all big men in fold, does the rotation get jacked up because someone has to be the odd man out and we know it isn't going to be Whiteside, STAT held it down, and McBob spaces the floor, but the game is only 48 minutes and someone has to sit.

Trying to mold the guys we have now into shooters mid season might get us to the second round of the playoffs. If you're happy with that then everything you say makes sense.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if Riley were to make a trade with Whiteside for shooters I would understand the move. Whiteside is an incredible talent and real fun to watch control the paint. It would be tough to watch him go but I'm more suspect on big men and injuries than small forwards or guards. So we sign him to a max deal and he becomes the next Dwight Howard...
