green wants the spotlight. its very obvious. hes outperforming everyone on a nightly basis pretty much. when this team starts clicking for real (its very obvious we haven't gelled yet, but it will come) we will be a force. shooting is STILL a concern though from the outside. gerald cant be the only one out there dependable from the 3.

I disagree, I don't think green wants the spotlight. He isn't doing anything he hasn't done in PHX. I think he wants to win. The fact he's giving effort on the defensive end says a lot. He's already been told if he doesn't defend he wont play. Spo is basically giving him the green light as long as he defends. I have no problem with that. The Heat need that spark from the bench. We needed it last year in the worst way.

We'll see how that goes during the regular season tho.

Overall, I just want our starting 5 to continue to get better and reach their potential. So far it's looked inconsistent, but we have a soft schedule at the beginning of the season. So hopefully we would have gained some momentum by the time the schedule gets rough.
 
Final game of preseason is done!

The main thing we need to get better at is, SHOOTING!!

DWade has looked bad in just about every game this preseason. I know it's nothing new as of late for him, but gheesh he looks mediocre! I see no improvements from him compared to last season. 3-13, 3-11, 4-16, and 4-12 isn't going to cut it for this team to be successful. Wade along with Dragic need to improve. Dragic is shooting it just as bad this preseason also.

Gerald Green is getting paid $19 million dollars less the Wade but Green looks like the clear cut best player on the team.

As I said it's just preseason, but this team has major issues with their shooting. Hopefully it progresses when the season kicks off this wednesday.
 
Yea' would have been better if the starters ended preseason on a better note, but it's preseason and those guys know how to handle those things

i agree. this is what i meant by saying green wants the spotlight. he really laying it all on the table. and he was the clear mvp of our preseason. i think also we need to gel. theyre still playing awkwardly. but that could be just cuz the lineup keeps switching so theres no chemistry. but yes like i said last season... shooting.

if they had been putting in work this summer, it wouldve shown right now. wades shooting is embarassing. i think he was a top 3 scorer on the team once this whole preseason, and he was in 3rd place. whitesides offense isnt the cleanest yet, but his defense sure as hell is. the duo of bosh and whiteside together down low make for a nightmare for opposing teams. 2 extremely long and agile bigs makes driving impossible for most big men except the elite.

but again...shooting. we lost A LOT by giving up napier and cole.
 
^^ yeah it's completely embarrassing of Wade to play like he's playing. It's almost like he doesn't care or he's not trying.

I'm only hard on Wade because I feel like he still has it in him to be great, but he's just not pushing hisself.
 
Yea I agree with y'all. Gerald Green is looking like he should be starting over Wade at this point. I don't know if Wade is pacing himself or what, but he looked WASHED in the pre-season. And I am a huge D Wade fan.

The starting 5 looks bad becasue Dragic is out of shape, Wade looks like he doesn't care, Deng has been useless, and Whiteside is kind of crazy, lol. Bosh is the only guy who looks decent.

The coaching staff talked about playing fast all off season, but these dudes look slow, they can't shoot, don't cause turnovers, don't get fast break points... WTF man. This is not what I wanted to see at all.

The only reason we won any games is becasue our bench is young and athletic. They space the floor well thanks to guys like McRoberts... and have guys like Tyler Johnson and Green who can shoot and get to the rim. This team has a long way to go before they reach their potential.

This is true, but damn... it's hard to watch. I hope they get it together. And white Jesus aka MCRoberts is the key to the 2nd unit's success. He spaces the floor and gets guys easy shots. I think Spo should consider playing him over Deng.

i was hoping that last oop was in there. do u know how much passing skill u gotta have to pick up and float a lob like that with one hand off the dribble? that was IMPRESSIVE. i was actually shocked

ive been saying it all summer. theyre playing too much not putting in enough work. what blows my mind is that we USED to be a fast break team. we used to be known for it... FEARED for it. then we just completely slowed down these past 3 years. wtf happened? ive always maintained that the coaching staff is going about this all wrong. its just glaringly apparent now. i know they want their summer vacays, but sometimes u gotta put in overtime. word to young tiller. they havent been working over the summer like they should, and now its showing.

We don't have the personnel to be a fast break team IMO. Wade's legs are not going to take it. Deng is getting up there. Bosh looks great, but not full on sprints for a whole season great. Dragic is months away from being in shape to play uptempo for an extended period of time. I'd say Green is up to the task. Can't see Hassan playing that style. Don't want to see Chalmers play that style...lol.

Spo has to figure out what we can do for a whole season.

BTW the reason the feared fast break has not been seen. Lebron.

when we used to be a fast paced team it worked for a little while but we were also a older team.. wade, bosh, haslem, birdman, battier, miller, ect.. can only run for a while then they would burn out...
do we have room for a shooter like jimmer?
 
THE DRAFT HAD TO BE MOVED TO 1030 PM EST. SOME JOINED AT THE LAST SEC AND THREW IF OFF TO UNEVEN
 
Ok, couple points we need to hash out real quick.

1) How many Minutes do we play Green? - I cannot fathom wasting away his skillsets in our division much less the Eastern Conference

2) Has Hassan finally figured out that being on the court > on the bench in early foul trouble? - We go as far as he goes IMO

3) When does the Justise League get called upon :lol: SWIDT :nthat:? - If he can buy into the defensive gameplan...OH BOY :wow:

4) Can we keep Spo from being on the hotseat at seasons end? - I only ask this to play devils advocate and to flare up insight :lol: .... I think Spo's a lyfer
