Rookie Ohio Cop Refused to Use Deadly Force Against Charging Double Murderer vol "I wanted to be abs

What's the protocol for a situation like that?  I think the officer restrained too much to the point where he put the situation at risk.  I think body cameras are good though.

The protocol was that the subject was a white kid........DONT SHOOT

:smh:

How convenient is it that he just happend to be white

If it was a black man, he'd be laying in the streets right now with 40 holes in him :smh:

White or not, if I was a cop and dude was running with his hand looking like hes about to pull something im firing.

Ya'll gonna let someone saying "shoot me or ill shoot you just run up on you?

I know theres been a lot of police shennanigans but cmon.

if he really wanted to get killed by the police he wouldve actually attacked him instead of running and stopping..

Nah

If all cops are well trained at the gun range they should be expert marksman.

If you can't shoot off any given toe as a perp is running towards you then you don't belong on the force.
That's like saying any Swat or Sniper to have 100% hit rate, like saying all Chitpole or McDonalds or Valet worker to be a 100% on their job.

Shooting at the foot?  People watch way too many movies.  The cop actually lost control of the situation.  He was being taunted, threatened, and rushed to the point where he fell backwards.  If you were in the situation, would you really spend time negotiating?  I am just puzzled as to why he was extremely hesitant, especially when he fell down and exposed himself.

Thats what you call whats going on? :smh:

Some of you are missing the point and context of why this is a news story.

OP, New Richmond isn't in Ohio. This is a Kentucky police officer and a Cincinnati, OH news station. Please fix the title.

Not everything has to be about race, its more of an issue of most cops are good, but its the bad ones that make the news.

Cop used poor judgment in this situation. He could easily be dead. Back on topic though, dude is still alive cause he's white.

Cause he didnt just murk dude asap?

Trying to sway public view of cops in light of all the "bad cop" air? Obviously.

Aside from all that, in this situation, it could have ended terribly if the guy actually pulled out a gun and shot the police officer. Then people woudve called him an idiot for refusing to take the shot on someone whos running at you and yelling "shoot me or ill shoot you".

This.

"But it's not about race"

Talk about moving the goal posts.

Just a while back the entire black population was routinely getting blamed for the acts of a few.

Dudes on here were literally callin black criminals animals until some of us called them out, then they started calling all criminals animals. Not before...after.

Now that its cops...."not all of them are bad" FOH
