AJ XXX (30)

After finally getting my pair in, here are my initial thoughts. The XXX's upper is definitely a little more stiff than the XX9's. It has a little less stretch. It's not necessarily a bad thing because it keeps your foot thoroughly contained. The insole also has a great grip pattern on it to keep your foot from sliding around (like mine did a little in the XX9). The heel lockdown feels improved as well.As far as people having issues with the padding in the back, I haven't experienced anything like that. It feels pretty comfortable to me. The XXX is definitely a little bulkier and slightly heavier than the XX9 though. It feels more reinforced and less flexible. As far as looks go, the XXX is way better looking than the XX9. The white upper looks great with the slight fade to black and the front toe cap is also a nice touch. Overall I'm pretty happy with them. I'll try to update with some more feedback after I've truly put them to the test on the hardwood.

Anyone else have the issue with the back of the shoe digging into the bottom of your ankle? basically right behind the XXX. the heel cup seems to protrude too much and i constantly have to adjust them. finally just started wearing them loose-laced cuz whenever i tie em up, it is painful.

I had a problem with that heel piece which is why I past for now. I feel like a .5 size up may help or do you guys think that pad will break in over time. My TTS is a 12 and it was really uncomfortable.

Currently without a vehicle and not that close to pub. transit.

Just get me to a gym with these! itching to test em out

order another, and cancel/return the first if you mean you already ordered one

I would but 2 things going against me. First I ordered off eastbay. Second I used the discount code on iDs already! You think I can add it to the order?

I was the same way been rocking Kobe's for a long time. But wore the XX9 and loved them so had to get these for ball. I still wear my Kobe X and XI on the court but the XXX will be added to the rotation as soon as they arrive.

Tried going back to mids and it felt weird and like I was restricted

Really interested in these

Like @bdrake823  I was almost strictly Kobe lows for a long time as well.  I would say if there is any shoe that's a mid to give a shot coming from lows, it's this one (xx9s and xx8s too) and something from UA, like clutchfit or curry line

200 euro 0n Sneakersnstuff but 250 euro on Nike EU store.

Not sure if mistake or opportunism.

Quick impressions: the fit is a huge improvement over the xx9. The stiffer upper is welcome and helps with lateral movements. The shoe is still a little bit of a sweat box but better. The softer collar is we one and doesn't ride as high as the xx9.

I've balled in KD and Kibe for awhile but realize I need a shoe that runs a little higher. The Lebrons and even the xx9 just ran too high and I think they found a great height for the shoe here.
