AGAIN? - Baltimore Man Dies From Injuries During Arrest

it's almost like they are threatening her...

People need to look her out. Like guard her house type stuff. She just made a lot of enemies for simply doing her job and seeking justice. Her opponents are gonna come out the woodwork to retaliate. Mentioning her husband in the letter? What does he have to do with this?

This police union is like a 4 year old child throwing a tantrum because they couldn't leave the store with the lollipop they wanted. Disgusting pieces of *****. :x

Can someone please update me with a quick summary on what all has unfolded?
I have been out of the loop and this thread isn't the easiest to follow.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What are your initial thoughts when you see this on CNN home page? Im honestly feeling some type of way and I feel like CNN completed the juxtaposition of these images in the same fashion they chose to highlight the images of the riots.

Am i reaching?

I am an economist, I have run the numbers and every damn person in this nation can be, at the bare minimum, very comfortable. Only hate and prejudice is stopping that from becoming a reality.

Solid post, I don't necessarily agree that this should be viewed in terms of political strategy or gaining political capital. It's like corporatons footing the costs of "going green" with marketing budgets. What's right is right.

Also, you say you have run the numbers and everyone can be very comfortable. Can you explain more about what that looks like? I am genuinely interested. I realize the resources exist but commerce is dependent on a low, middle and upper class. Who cleans bathrooms and flips your burgers if everyone is very comfortable. Are you talking about communism?

we still have to be patient fellas but man.... :smokin

It's important to note that EVERY officer who shot and killed Amadou Diallo (41 shots) on his doorstep were charged, but released.

I wonder how many people here are old enough to remember Rodney King. It was on video, charges were filed and every single one of them walked. What's being predicted in Baltimore if the officers get off happened over 20 years ago and not a dam thing changed.

Oh and is it just me or are all these charges, or the vast majority, implying he was injured by being unrestrained in the back of the van? Nothing indicating he was essentially beaten to death? Can you severe your spine by being unrestrained in a van driving normally with no traffic accidents?

The police union letter is dated today and is already making the rounds online. Yesterday it seemed mrs. Mosby was viewed as having a conflict of interest IN FAVOR of police. Now, they write this letter, and she has a conflict of interest AGAINST police. Seems like an attempt to paint the environment as one of fairness and justice for the people, so much so, that the police are at a disadvantage within this judicial process. Laughable.

These people are clever. It's a set up. Maybe I should get my tinfoil hat out but the events of 1992 have forever changed my worldview.

Might have happened before he was in the van

It likely happened before he was in the van. That small detail is a whole different set of charges. That small detail is the difference between probation and a prison term appropriate for assault resulting in death. My point is that all these charges seem to imply the officers are getting the lenient option.

O heck no! They only can charged them with what can be proven in the court of law.. They didnt set out to murder him but denied him medical and probably the knee in the neck mesed his spin up. They caused his death
