Hey NT! My aunt holds a patent for a very good idea to eliminate needing to use reading glasses while using your mobile phone. She has put me in charge to help develop the idea and get the ball rolling in getting this product to market. Ever get a text message in the middle of the night and don't want to grab your reading glasses? Do you find yourself holding our phone screen extremely close to your face? Hate using huge ugly text on your phone which some apps don't even offer?

Her patent is for a product which will act as will act just like any generic screen protector/or tempered glass and cover your phone screen but enhances the image as if you were looking trough reading glasses. You will be able to choose the optical strength based on the classic reading glasses scale.

Now this product is not meant to replace your perception glasses but for users who casually wear reading glasses.

My questions for you NTers is:

Would you purchase something like this?

How much would you pay for it?

How often do you think you would use it?

I will be updating this post for those who in fact want to get their hands on this item once we start the indiegogo campaign where you will be able to order the item once manufactured.

Thanks NT!

PS. Any NTers that are familiar with manufacturing and prototyping shoot me an email donovandoesit@gmail.com

I don't know the science behind it but what if I'm wearing my glasses. Will I need to remove the protector screen?

I can increase the font size.

If your wearing your glasses this should only enhance how you see the screen since it only goes up to 3.25 it wouldn't make much difference. However the more practical use if for those who only use glasses for reading etc.

I can increase the font size.

Have you ever increased the font size on your phone? It looks horrible and there is no way to increase the size of the font on the actual keyboard. Also most 3rd party apps and webpages do not support this feature.

yeah why not just pinch to zoom in? Never had a problem with that.

What if you have a different prescription on each lens? :nerd:
