Never actually done it, but it's pretty inconsiderate to make someone think you're just driving through only to put on your reverse lights & back in and make the person behind you wait for you to park in your preferred method.

My old neighborhood tried to enforce this. It was a condominium gated community. The HOA tried enforcing this!
My brother in law didn't give any dambs and did it anyway. Came back out side with a note on his windshield that said "follow the rules, visitor"
That pissed my whole family off.... So they all brought their cars (like 20 cars) and reversed in all the parking spaces.
They tried calling the tow company... They all waited until the trucks arrived. Ran into their cars and drove off!
So this type of harassment towards a towing company gets a pass on NT but name calling towards an employee of a towing company should result in a person losing their livelihood?
NT - Please explain.

So a whole 5 seconds of your day is wasted....
As someone who backs in all the time, I don't see how it's inconsiderate. If your signal is on, indicating that you want a certain spot, the person behind you needs to wait no matter how you prefer to park. Simple as that.

Place my boy lives in won't let you back in to a space and it's so dumb to me. I like backing in because it makes pulling out easier (pause). Better visibility pulling out.

Backing into spots is considered a violation in some areas - including the college I attended. They want to see your plates (in Florida front plates aren't required) and also the parking permit is located on the front windshield. Since the parking police cruise around and don't want to get out to check to see if you have a permit - they can give you a ticket to discourage the practice.

Sure. But the idea is that you wait until theres no traffic before you even try to back out. Youre already in a spot and out of the way. You can wait a few minutes while traffic clears and not effect anybody.I believe Oh Pee is talmbout perpendicular parking. Say the street runs East West and parking would be NS. Its illegal to back into those spots because you have to go in reverse on the street to do so. They intend for ppl to just drive in the parks, alleviating traffic that might get backed up waiting on some gump taking all day to parallel park.
You should never pull in nose first cuz if them boys jump out on you youre stuck. If you back in you can stab out quick
Finally some clarity. That makes perfect sense to me.
But wouldnt you back up traffic the same amount coming out of the spot as apposed to just driving out
Still dumb tho.

Are you cool with people sitting at a light for an extra 5 seconds texting while it's green too? Same thing.
Also, even if the blinker is on, how am I supposed to know they are turning in to that spot they just passed as opposed to one right in front of them I might not see?

When I'm in Phoenix I drive in the HOV lanes when traffic gets busy. Never gotten a ticket, but I'm always really careful when I do
