I like sneakers but I'll never be remotely as die hard as most people, at least based on what I'm willing to pay for a pair. That being said, I'm always curious when I see people on Instagram posting shoes that I couldn't find anywhere, even if I were willing to spend $5k+ on a pair. Stuff like the LeBron 12 Grammys, Jordan 6 Low Oreos, Watch the Throne LeBrons, UNC/OVO Jordans (before the pop up shop release), etc.
It's been nagging my curiosity - how the heck do so many of these pairs make it out into the wild? I assume connections aren't just handing out $5k+ kicks to their buddies constantly...or are they? Or are these just people who are willing to spend crazy amounts of money on pair after pair?
Anyone with some knowledge that helps to scratch my itch?
