I'm numb to Jay/Nas arguments now, but I can't stand when clearly wrong things are said. Stillmatic came out in 2001. As has had 5 very successful albums since that time, as recent as 2012.

I kinda believe that one too. They had a hit together and Sean Paul has been mia since. He didn't even perform the song live with her and they was at the same award ceremony. Beyonce was just another bird b. She fine tho

In all seriousness though, I think what messed Nas up is that he couldn't get with the times nor keep up with the times. Some may say he chose not to, and keep his original sound...but even that doesn't hold much value. You don't win over and over by doing the same ****. We're still celebrating Illmatic and nothing more.

Jay, while the music is debateable, has been smart enough to strike with something while the iron is hot. He's been more experimental in terms of whats hot at the moment, and has had success.

nas has 7 platinum albums I doubt he's stressing over who won the battle (although the fact that referring to the term "ether" 14+ years after song released signifies getting beat should make it clear )
His venture capital company
has stake in a bunch of startups
Dropbox, lyft , rap genius etc
that along with royalties and touring
Should make more for then a comfortable lifestyle . Thats without mentioning the documenatary and book written on illmatic ....
