It's about the music and who is listened to more and how often. Generally speaking it doesnt matter where you live, or what your daily interactions are as you are going to hear Jay's songs and Jay's music more than Nas.

When neither artist is here with us all that is going to be left is the music they provided to the general public. That being said, that is how and why Jay has won because his music is played more, listened to more and requested more, and more importantly still in demand more. Nas, not so much.
