Need help with sole seperation!!

Hey guys
I need help with my 2001 Jordan concords, I bought them off a dude for $50 cos they were beat and he "attempted" a reglue on the sole.
HE DID A TERRIBLE JOB!! There's glue everywere, the midsole was attacked aswell, the sole is yellowing hard and the insides are weak and flimsy with all the handling.
Im no expert but I would like to give it a proper go over.
I want to seperate the sole Icey it out then glue it back on, what's my best option to seperate this damn sole???

Use a heat gun to melt the glue then pull the sole off.
