It is in my belief that if you don't buy **** from Amazon, you're a savage. Everytime I buy something, I see this little thing saying that your order can be free or whatever if you sign up for the rewards card, and I finally decided to possibly check it out. Here are some of the perks according to their site:
  • Get a $70 Amazon.com Gift Card* instantly upon credit card approval
  • Earn 3% Back at Amazon.com[sup]†[/sup]
  • Earn 2% Back at gas stations, restaurants and drugstores[sup]†[/sup]
  • Earn 1% Back on all other purchases[sup]†[/sup]
  • No annual fee[sup]‡[/sup]
I just want to know if anyone here has any experiences with it, and is it worth getting?

if you shop on Amazon and don't have this card you're an idiot. It's fantastic. 3 to 1 pts for everything on Amazon. As an Amazon addict, it's a must have.

Have you had any problems with Chase? Because that's usually the bad things I hear about the card.

I don't have the Amazon card but I have had a chase freedom account for 10 years. I never had a problem with them in my experience.

I have the Amazon card and have racked up hundreds in free Amazon money since getting it. If you shop on Amazon regularly it really is a must have.

Not exactly sure but I think my discover it card offers almost the exact same rewards.

But its more like...

$300 cashback after spending 1k in 3 months
3% on quarterly Bonuses.

And they always have dome deals with amazon like cash back for a certain amount etc.

Currently my discover is on a 0% Apr for 18 months promotion...

Discover and AMEx is all I use now. Depending in what I'm buying.

Amazon's own store card offers 5% back on all amazon purchases by way of statement credit.

Just applied for it recently for the $70 bucks. Never have used the card, don't really plan to either. Citi Double Cash is my go to.

Also, I've read that purchases are only eligible for the 3% cash back if they are sold by Amazon. I'm guessing that means if its sold by a third party, then you don't get the cash back bonus.

I believe it you buy from a third party, you get 1% cash back.

How long did it take for you to get approved? They didn't give me a decision right away.

Oh ok. Yeah, my history isn't that long but I have no serious marks or anything.
