A friend once told me that you're you'll be younger today as opposed to tomorrow, so enjoy everything you can.
If financial situations and things were a bit better, I would've wished to study abroad some where. But the important thing is to help pass on these 'missed' events onto others, like your younger siblings or kids. I make it an initiative to get that point across, it's kind of like how parents wish for opportunities they missed out on or never had as a kid.
