3d is done, over.

4K is the future. Not a whole lot of 4k content right now tho.

Curved, meh. Personal preference. I sort of liked it. Not sure if I would buy one tho.

Dont mean to thread jack but Im going to be building a home theater and need advice on a good projector and a screen. Ive been over at AVS forum but its cluttered over there.

You like the curved ones OP?

Just cop a 55" Visio joint from best buy

Look into the Vizio P series if you are looking for a 4k value set. Good reviews online and my friend likes his.

If you find a set online that you like, see if a store near you carries it. Always check them out in person and see what an actual cable feed or movie looks like. Dont go off demo/showroom vids alone.

Na not really, just a gimmick imo, what if someone is sitting on the side they wont b able to see the whole screen

How long does your TVs last? I ask because you can really skip 4k right now but maybe in 5 years time it'll be more common? If you're one to keep your tvs for longer then maybe find a good deal on 4k right now, there are definitely more affordable options now than a year ago.

Non-4k options are abundant though depending on your budget. I still stand that Samsung delivers the best quality tv's out there and I also prefer LEDs, many prefer Plasmas and they tend to be on the cheaper side too. Depends if you do gaming, watch sports or mostly movies too. Got to narrow it down a bit further.

^I game, watch TV, and movies, I have a vizio thats about 7 yrs old, has lil problems (sound is off when it starts up, takes a minute for the sound to come on) but other than that its good, but i see it going out soon.

What is the difference between led and plasma? and is it possible to get a good 55' for $600 or lower or am i looking at $1000+

And some1 please explain the hertz rate to me i dont get that at all
