I know I'm a newbie but I have worn Jordans for over 20 years now and have never had an experience like this one but I need advice so I thought I would share. I'm a sneakerhead who occasionally sells the old to make room for the new. I missed out on the 11 low concord's last year so I found a pair on Ebay recently which stated in the listing that the shoe just needs a "good cleaning." So the shoes arrive this weekend and it appears in good structural shape but has yellow bottoms and some bleeding around the top of the patent leather on to the white upper. Yellow bottoms are no problem but this bleeding is ridiculous! It won't stop and even after I clean the white it seems rub off from the patent leather causing a grey hue to remain. The seller is of no help and will not respond so I opened a claim on Ebay. Not sure how to stop the bleeding or should I get rid of the shoe or send it into Nike for inspection. Any suggestions?

I've never seen a 11 bleed like that before.

I've got pairs that are 15+ years old and they do not do that.

As for opening a claim with Ebay:

You bought the shoes used and you stated you cleaned them.

If the seller or ebay ever find this out you will lose your claim.

Try Bar Keepers Friend or Oxiclean on the mesh. May help a little but the seller is protected. You bought them use and if they look like they do in the photos, you won't have an argument.

Similar thing happened to me years back with 2001 XI Concords. Lesson of the story is to buy new and check thoroughly on eBay.

I think they were painted. The seller did not want to comply with a refund and said I should clean them.

Could've used black polish. Unfortunately it's still on you my friend and he's protected. Unless there was purposeful deception in the photo angles, etc.

@icomefromdust  The eBay case will result in your favor if you return the shoes and include tracking that it was delivered. eBay/Paypal protects its buyers, not it's sellers. Always been that way and doesn't look like it'll change.

Why are the soles yellow?  Didn't these just retro not even a year ago?
I wouldn't be shocked if my Georgetown's started to yellow in the next few months. It's a Nike problem.

At any rate. Shoes were returned to seller yesterday. Hopefully no more monkey biz.

Yeah just judging from the first pic that PL looks dull compared how it should be. Ebay protects the buyers just make sure in the claim you state youre sending them back, whats happening with the shoe, and that it was painted causing damage to the rest of the shoe. Be sure to have tracking AND signature confirmation on the delivery so theres proof it was delivered. Doesnt hurt to put insurance on them as well

Imo painting that is an attempt to deceive the buyer.

Good luck OP

Also those soles are crazy yellowed. Ive seen "some" yellowong but nothing to this level

are we even sure those are legit? they just look weird

Yeah I'm pretty sure they are legit. I got some infrared lows and copped a pair of the Georgetown lows and they match up. Production dates on tags are good too. It's a shame I didn't notice how bad the bleeding was but once again he never mentioned it and only said they just need to be cleaned.

Hopefully he process my refund ASAP bcuz mgr @ FinishLine will have my VII Hares on deck. Gotta cop a few pairs. No doubt. I'm only buying DS from now on. No more leftovers.

The PL just looked terribvle and dont think ive seen "bleeding" like that

hope you get your money back bruh
