Groceries vol. How often and how much?

My grocery list mainly consists of foods that are considered clean for your body. I used to eat junk all the time but shopping once a week and buying food that can turn into meals daily have helped my eating habits a lot.

I stopped buying soda and fruit juices because all it does it make you more thirsty; as well as fast digesting carbs such as cookies pies and white bread.

My weekly grocery list can hover around the $100 mark and it looks like this:

-Organic almond butter (tried this a couple years ago and haven't touched peanut butter since)

-Blueberries and rasberries
-Greek Yogurt (make sure the ingredients contain live and active cultures they help fight bacteria in your system)
-Almond milk (I'm a black guy who couldn't withstand lactose any longer)

-Coconut oil (tremendous benefits such as healthy fats)
-Orange/Grapefruit juice (only fruit drinks I purchase)
-Eggs
-Brown/Jasmine rice
-Whole wheat bagels
-Canned tuna (I eat this sparingly/mainly used if I'm in a hurry)
-Chicken (I do not eat beef a whole lot/ I get my fish from fishing out in the sea my damn self

)
-Coffee ice cream is what I indulge in
-Nuts (almonds and walnuts)
-Sweet potatoes
-Random veggies

This is mostly everything I buy on a weekly basis (could be missing a couple of items). Not everything is organic. Hope y'all ain't buying too much junk

To all my independent cats who feed themselves
How often do you do groceries? And how much do you drop at the register? Do you shop organic or generic?

I need to step my market game up. Word on the street is that I can cop some fresh produce for the low.

I go once a week and I spend about $120 a week. Majority of that is dropped on meat. I have to have an abundance of meats in my fridge to switch it up throughout the week. From beef to lamb to chicken. Can't forget about the seafood.

I'm trying to cut down though, but I don't know how.
What are y'all's grocery tactics ?

$120 a week wtf!!!!

I spent $150 -$180 a month for myself and that was alot.

Me and da girl now spend about $250 a month for both of us and eat good

Yaw cats eat to much

4Lb of frozen chcicken breast
4Lb of frozen fish
4Lb beef
3Lb ham or turkey lunch meat
Few steaks
Lots of fresh fruit and vetables
Almond milk
Orange juice
Oatmeal
EGgs
Few other minor stuff

Then to the big dollar tree store and get all my side items and spice, herbs, condiments for $1 each

my old man cooks most days so for lunch I usually take leftovers. Everytime I go to walmart for groceries, I can't come out with less than $30 worth of food. :smh:

Best thing about being a cook is that I basically never buy groceries... I eat at home 2-3 days a week, rest of it is free food at work... And sometimes it turns into home food too ... I've been working 6 day weeks for a month... I've cooked one meal that wasn't something you throw on the oven or kraft Mac n cheese ....

In Bay Area, CA.

250-300 total a week at whole foods and farmers market that feeds 2 of us mainly but also provides enough to feed 3 other adults in the house dinner nightly.100% organic, 100% plant based whole foods.

Sounds like a lot but we take our health serious. Every time you purchase anything you are investing or just simply buying. I look at it as investing in my health.

Currently growing my own food and hoping to grow enough to not have to buy any veggies from grocery stores anymore because contrary to popular belief, food is free.

u ain't the only one. Most of mine comes from oatmeal cookies

So I spend no more than $100 a month.

mine varies, but i go to the store every monday. never usually go over a 100. I eat super healthy though, and im just buying for myself so its hard to say if im spending too much on groceries. good thing is that I dont eat fast food and rarely eat out so I dont really give myself a budget food wise
