It honestly doesn't make sense at all. Your guess would mean that all shoes in the store need to have cut box tops which clearly isn't the case. I think you may have over complicated things.

I was using an personal example from a skate shop I went to.  They ripped the box tops so you wouldn't resell it, at least that's what the employee stated.. but yeah you're def right that doesn't make sense or really apply to a nike factory store/clearance reason for doing it.   
 
Sucks jersey gardens won't hold them. I'd drive up for the red ones for sure.

That said, I called arundel mills md and Lancaster pa and both said no jordan retro releases this weekend.

Hagerstown got the white infra 6. Didn't bother to call the ivy city or the national harbor stores.

Yo my guy called and said they only had a size 14 left as of like 10 min ago. Might be worth your while to sit it out.

For what it's worth, when I called the Jersey Gardens number last night, the recording said, "Jordan 6's, in infrared." Nothing more, nothing less. 
 
Damn, I don't even blame dude. That mall was packed when I got there. Didn't even know it was that big, looked small when I was there for the db xs.
