Thoughts on wearing different athletic brands at the same time (ex: Nike kicks with adidas pants)?

Do you care about mixing athletic brands of clothing (i.e. Nike w/ adidas, adidas w/ ASICS, etc.)?

i could wear an adidas hoody w jeans and nikes. idk. i rarely wear clothes w logos so i dont count

All my old graphic T's become gym shirts.
Track pants are black plain track pants from Walmart.
And all my gym shorts are simple Nike shorts. That have lasted me like 4+ years
I rock all my shoes.
Reebok, new balance and nike

I don't get why some dudes buy Nike dry fit shirts, to match their Nike KD shorts that match their Nike KD socks that match their KD shoes... It's like they do it for attention from other guys??

When I'm at the gym and see a girl rocking leggings / yoga pants.
I can care less what brands she is wearing if everything is nice and tight [emoji]128527[/emoji]

For the life of me it feels mad awkward to wear something Nike with Adidas kicks or vice versa. Can't do it

As I type this I am wearing Under Armor socks with Nike slides. Back in the day this would have been blasphemous but to be honest it is just not that serious anymore

This might sound crazy to some people, but since I was a teenager (many moons ago) - possibly even before that - I've never liked wearing different athletic brands at the same time. For instance, if I'm wearing Nike shoes, I only like to wear Nike sweats. The only exception would be something that doesn't have a visible logo on it. Maybe it's OCD-ish, but it just seems weird/corny to me.

This rule doesn't really apply to non-athletic brands. For instance, I don't care about wearing a Supreme tee, Bape hoodie, with a pair of Nike sweats mixed in. But throw in a pair of ASICS and it just doesn't work for me. Honestly, over the past few months, I've kind of felt this is stupid and not that big a deal (in relation to clothing issues; obviously, mixing and matching clothing is NOT an "important" issue, so please don't start with those kind of comments... thanks!), but I still find myself unable to mix athletic brands. It mainly is annoying when I want to go running, as I have a lot of ASICS runners but zero ASICS pants/shirts. Besides that, all runners look great with Nike Tech Fleece, so it would be nice to be comfortable rocking some GLV's with my Tech Fleece sweats.

Anyways, am I alone in this preference, or do you guys feel similar? I wonder if it's something that's more prevalent with 80's babies like myself, whereas younger kids don't really care about mix-matching. I do see a lot of younger celebrities mixing brands all the time. Come to think of it, I've seen some older cats doing it too, but mainly cats that were born in the 70's or older...
thats not ocd-ish at all, its called a preference

u might be on to somethin there, perpin got a different meaning now, but when i was in middle school it meant to mix match labels and it was frowned upon, i was born in 89

if i have on a adidas sweatshirt, ill probably wear tims or adidas, it dont look right to throw on some nikes

but i always wear ua gear wit nikes

it does make me cringe cuz during my generation it was wack as hell. But I was thinking of rocking a fila polo with some asics shrugs but in my soul it ain't right.

I never do with clothes but for the past 6 years I've been using the same adidas gym back and I'm in nikes 97% of the time

Don't really care but I couldn't rock an adidas tracksuit with Js. But then again it doesn't even look right with shell toes.
