Hey, i tried searching for an answer but couldn't find anything.  Im going to use a legend blue XI and do a little green conversion to it.  Going to use the RIT powder and green the sole, angelus paint to green the jump man.  The only thing I don't know how to do is the blue strip on the tongue.  How can I paint that part of the shoe?  Will regular angelus work.  I really don't care too much about color asI might just black it out but just more interested in hiding the blue.  Any advice would be awesome.  Thanks

Hey willydimes,

Don't know if you're still looking for advice, but I have a few pointers for beginners.

1. Preparation is one of the most important parts to painting a shoe. Make sure to buy good brushes and tape, and spend time making sure that your shoe is ready to be painted.

2. Personally I actually prefer FBCC sole dye for dying soles, there are a variety of colours and I am planning on using the product on a custom I have planned. The sole dye works well on soles, midsoles, fabric, and even foamposite material. So you could use the dye to color the blue tag on the tongue of the 11s. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL THO, because that stuff does not come out.

3. Be sure to buy a good sealant. Even with angelus I have had experience of paint scratching off if I don't seal it properly.

Good luck, these are just a few points. msg me if you have any more questions
